Yume Ramen Sushi & Bar

One of the best Japanese / Asian restaurants in Charlotte, if not -the- best. I have been four times in the past year and they knock it out of the park every time. I've had ramen, sushi, donburi, and most of the hot appetizers. Every time I left very happy that I went and I always tell my friends that this is the place to be.

I've been to Japan twice before and I've grown to really love Japanese cuisine. It's much more refined than American or Mexican food and has a unique flavor all its own. Additionally, the service at Japanese restaurants is always great, including this one. Overall, it was really good and I'll definitely be coming back. Thank you!

The sushi was amazing, they make their own soy sauce and it is so good and really adds to it. Our server was great. The only thing about that place is the low sanitation grade and the nasty bathroom. It's such a nice restaurant, it's just a shame to see the bathroom so dirty. Not dirty from one day, dirty from just not cleaning much over a long period of time. It just makes you wonder how the kitchen is kept. It would make a huge difference to remodel the bathroom and match the rest of the restaurant.

me and my parents had ramen, the ramen was okay, it was good but not anything super special. the pork in the tonkotsu ramen was really good my sister ordered the curry don and it was absolutely INCREDIBLE the pork was soooooo good it was so amazing. On the other hand the service was incredible, thank you so much to Brandon!! he was such a charming and funny server, he really made our dinner here enjoyable! very attentive! the sushi and maki rolls were really great too! i cant wait to come back!

Ok, there are a ton of decent places around, but Yume is now my favorite! We went for a quick lunch to try Yume's Ramen out. The place was clean, as was the woman's bathroom. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable. We got the Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen lunch and the Sashimi lunch. We dug into the Ramen so fast I didn't get a photo but snagged some good ones of that Sashimi! Both were so yummy. The fish quality was incredible, and the ramen broth was perfect. We'll be back!! Update: We went back. It was awesome, again!

I came here with five of my friends for the first time on a Saturday. The food was quick to arrive and was presented wonderfully. I wasn’t a huge fan of the fermented black garlic ramen, but that was more about my personal taste than the quality of the food. To me the flavor of the broth had a little too much umami taste and could use a touch of spice to balance it out, but like I said that’s just my personal opinion. I’ll definitely return and try something different on my next visit.

Yume is hands down the best sushi & ramen spot in Charlotte. Not only is the food amazing, the staff here is amazing too! I always get the Tonkotsu Ramen (tell 'em you like it hot) with some sushi on the side. This is a genuine family owned restaurant and you can tell by how amazing the food and service is. Do yourself a favor and make this your next spot!

It's interesting that they pour soy sauce at your table, which is nice, but I prefer having a bottle right there and pour only what I need. The takoyaki has loads of octopus, and the deluxe chirashi don is packed with tasty sashimi. Unfortunately, the sushi rice is kind of cold and hard, and the tamago, while nice and soft, is a bit on the sweet side. Saw on the menu that they have a $200+ omakase option, but you have to order it two days in advance for that dining experience.

Gold stars across the board! Yume, a fine dining experience nestled in the heart of Charlotte… the neighborhood, Wilmore. The restaurant is a fanciful experience where sushi is prepared right at the bar with about five chefs, busying away at work. The restaurant has changed names and faces over the years, but has always served something a little different for the cultures. On Saturday, we visited Yume to try out their traditional ramen noodles that were flagrantly delicious… I ordered chicken noodles that came with fried chicken and ramen eggs “ajitama.” The yolk had a soft texture like eggs sunny side up, but it firmed slightly to a jam-like texture. The eggs tasted sweet while the noodles were thick and balanced with salt, but married with chicken broth. I ordered the Shio Tori Chicken Ramen (corn, greens, scallions, roasters seeweed fried chicken, and an egg split in half We also ordered a sushi roll… though I can’t remember which one. I say try something new. There’s no disappointment unless you’re parked outside… must find parking a block up the street $14.00. Other than that, it’s a quiet escape, classy, and tranquil… dare I mention that the food is delish.
