Thomas Street Tavern

Has a neighborhood feel without distancing itself from visitors. This was my 1st visit. Seemed like a perfect fit for the small group I was with. The bartenders were very accommodating to us as were the rest of the staff. Of course, we needed a group pic taken & Jason was more than happy to handle our two or three phones for the shot(s)! I didn't look @ a menu. What I saw come from the kitchen looked really good ( thats why I didn't rate the food).

Came to Charlotte and got a hot tip from a female friend that this was a good place to hit for some beer and games. It was a little difficult to find parking, but once we did, it was a short walk to the bar. Good selection of beer, I got a Juicy IPA on tap (4 beers were $25). There's only one pool table, and even on a Thurs night, I had to put my name on a list and wait 30+ minutes to get on the table. While I waited for pool, I went out back where there is an awesome outdoor area with plenty of seating, nifty lighting, and two bars (one cash only). There's also 2 ping pong tables inside some batting cage netting so the balls don't get lost. All in all, fun place, it was just what we expected and wanted.

Came here for my 21st birthday. There was 4 of us and our server was Zay. She was FANTASTIC. She had a great knowledge of the menu and talked to us like people, rather than just customers. She was insanely nice and truly the best server i’ve ever had at a restaurant. The environment was so welcoming and the menu was so simple and i loved it.

Really cool bar in Midwood. We flew in for the weekend and bar hopped around the city. Saw the back patio games from some of the adjacent rooftop bars. The staff had a rough and tumble biker bar vibe but TST was our favorite spot with the live music, ping pong and cornhole we had a great time. Had a couple heated table tennis battles with some locals and made friends with a bunch of people. The southern hospitality of everyone we met was amazing. Would definitely recommend.
