Romano's Macaroni Grill

I love Italian food, This is the first restaurant I visited in Charlotte, NC. I love their food, I like the spaghetti with marinara sauce and I ask them to top it with Grilled Salmon, I like my salmon to be grilled with balsamic glaze. ymmmi. I also like the grilled salmon with their special italian orzo mixed with some green leaves. the also have a good selection of homemade pizza

This place was Pretty good, hidden though. I was able to pretty much customize my order and it wasn't all that expensive. The theme is nice as well, and is wide open. The Kitchen is very visible as well which is nice and gives you an authentic feel. While we did go at a not so busy time, the wait was pretty long for out food. Overall a nice lunch/dinner date spot.

I been to several Macaroni Grills over the years and had good experiences. This, however, was not one of them. First, we entered the restaurant just before 12:30PM for lunch with friends. The restaurant was not at all crowded, nevertheless we stood at reception desk for 5 minutes without even being recognized. This despite the fact that the manager and another staff member were standing within 5 feet of us. We were seated at a table which had place settings for two. After about 10 minutes the waiter arrived and poured olive oil into a dish for dipping bread. We had to ask for additional place settings and we're brought 2 plates. 15 minutes later he brought the bread but no knives to cut it with.... So we had to ask for knives and forks. He apologized for the delay in bringing the bread out because "they were just baking it". We ordered soup & salads, soup & sandwich, and one individual ordered soup and an entree. 45 minutes later we were still waiting for our food. So 1 hour and 15 minutes after arriving we finally received our meals. Everything was brought out together, salads, soup, sandwiches, entree. The soups were all lukewarm as was the chicken parmigian sandwich. The entree was cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen. The salads looked and tasted like they were leftover from the previous day. Two guests asked for a second helping of soup which arrived 15 minutes later. The waiter apologized and explained, the delay was a because they ran out of bowls and were washing them. Given the poor service and unappetizing nature of the food I will not be going back to this location again.

We visited this restaurant on Saturday, February 15th for dinner and this was by far the worst experience we’ve had. We arrived at 7:17pm and was informed there was a 40-45 minute wait. No problem! However after an hour and 15 minutes later, I checked on the wait time and was told another 15 minutes. Again, no problem! After another 25 minutes, my husband went to check the list and our names were scratched off (we informed both greeters that we were sitting upstairs)!!!! Finally, we were seated! We sat for another 20 minutes (while waitresses passed us several times). They asked each other who had our table and because neither of them were assigned to us they did not bother to assist!!!!!! Finally, a young man waited on us and he was awesome! We left this restaurant around 10:00pm!!!!!!! Never again!!!!!!!!👎🏽

Service was slow when we arrived. They only had about 6 full tables and it took almost 10 minutes for someone to come over and get our drink order. An additional 5 minutes after that too place our order. I ordered the lasagna, it was not cooked evenly and was barely warm with sections of cold in it. Was very disappointed in my visit here for the amount of money I paid for the meal. I won't go back here. I expect a lot more from a restaurant with their reputation.
