O'charley's

The staff was really nice and I ended up with the biggest piece of fish I have ever had. I mean this tilapia was easily twice the size of any filet I've cooked at home so three times the size any other restaurant has given me. I don't know if this is a usual thing because we were first timers. Can't wait to go back and see.

This is an iteration of a chain restaurant that's made awesome by the people that work there. The food is good, as you'd expect, but not amazing. I frequent this place for their people. If you ask me, sit at the bar, and chat the place up. Especially the waitstaff. They can be hilarious, if you're cool with them. The management is engaged with the clientele, the servers are generally awesome, the food is consistently good... Try the chicken tenders appetizer with the honey mustard dip, and a nice IPA to round it out. I only give it four stars because it's not on par with a Double Eagle Steakhouse or similar. But I definitely enjoy dining here, and I think you will too!

Visited this site last weekend, was very impressed with the new menu. Many new items added, some old ones that need to come back. I had the Savannah Crab cakes, my poster had the Garlic Shrimp with linguini. The crab cakes are delicious, plump pieces of crab, stop a creamy corn mixed with tomato and bacon, drizzled with a mayo sauce. Very good dish, best cakes I've eaten in years. Will have them again. The garlic shrimp was good, but was lacking in shrimp (4 shrimp), for the amount of pasta served. Considering this was a dinner option, was not as impressed. Having eaten at this site several times. We was very happy with the changes. The staff was on their game, and checked with us often. Don't know if a new kitchen staff was hired, or just updated on skills, but we thought the food was better than our other visits. Was surprised the manager didn't check with us as before. I recommend that people check out the new menu items. I wish a couple old ones was still available.

My husband and I eat here often. Food and service are always excellent. Our waitress Rachel expertly served us and was on point with every need. I ventured into the Bacon and Bourbon Filet Mignon cooked well-done as I requested and it was more than delicious but also so tender you could nearly cut it without a knife.

This would be a three star review, but the service just pushes it up to four - when it comes to the standard casual American dining, this is fighting with Cheddar's for the best spot in the University area, and O'Charley's is far more accessible. The food's good, especially for the price. I've had some inconsistencies, though - a prime rib that was really too rare and chewy, a couple of steaks that have been too well-done for the medium-rare I normally order. I wish there were more appetizing healthy options - the vegetables you can order on the side are heavily buttered and salted, and most of the best savory foods they have on offer are drowning in butter, but I suppose that's what you're going to get with this kind of restaurant. I always leave feeling full, and it always feels like I more or less got my money's worth - and the staff is really fantastic.
