I ordered the hot and spicy shredded beef, but I got pepper steak, it was good but not what I ordered. Management did not seem concerned.

Food was great. Been going to Chin Chins on Albemarle Rd for decades. But the quality has dipped along with the portions. Tried this place out. Now it’s the go to. The place isn’t the best looking, but don’t let that deter you. Just don’t say you weren’t warned. Lol

I ordered for the first time the other day, as with any new Chinese I ordered the simplest thing I could think of to see if I should be more adventurous later. I ordered wonton soup and chicken and broccoli. The food was great and the service was equally so. The place was clean, and I could see the entire kitchen from the counter, all the stainless steel was well maintained and pretty spotless. I will order again as the simple items I ordered we're fresh and flavorful. I have high hopes that Cottage Express will maintain a 5 star rating. *Update, it's been 4 years with consistent food and service, still happy to support the business.*
