Papi's Puerto Rican Cuisine

I DROVE AN HOUR TO TRY THIS. When I walked into the restaurant, the natural light was very welcoming. The three individuals who were able to assist me were polite, respectful and wholesome. The energy of the place felt like home. I order the perfect rice, that was full flavor. The pernil was so juicy I couldn’t put it down. I was trying to save some for dinner, but ended up eating the whole plate. I could continue to praise this delicious restaurant, but I implore to give them a try. Only complaint I have so far is, that there wasn’t more. Still in shock

This would be the second Puerto Rican restaurant I have been to here in Charlotte. No digs to the first one cause I loved the family feel of the first one and how sweet they were. Food was good too. But at Papi’s?! This place has some flava!!! We ordered the Mofongo con pollo frito and it was A-mazing ! My family also ordered the half rotisserie chicken and the chuletas. As well as some surullitos (corn fritters)and a alcapurria (wish it was more than just one) My one picky eater teen loved the food too, so good job! Our waiter, Franco was super cool and very helpful. Thanks for not disappointing Papi’s!

Chef Tara and her staff were extremely helpful and very professional. She came out and greeted the customers. The food was great. The atmosphere was great with friendly people and good music. I’m visiting Charlotte this weekend but when I come back I will definitely visit this establishment again. Local restaurants are the best and this one is no exception. Thanks!!!

First off!!!!!! Let’s get into it…. 💕 when I say this hit home for me and made me teary 🥲 because the food taste was so amazing like my momma and grandma cooking Rest easy Queens. This place is a 10 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I’m so happy I made this my place to go to on my vacation time with my husband with the help of TIKTOK!!!!!! YES! Definitely we will be back

Drove 64 miles to eat here at Papis and it definitely was worth the drive! We were greeted by Amy who was an amazing host, and server. Our food was absolutely delicious we started off with golden tostones which were seasoned perfectly, the alcapurrias took me back to San Juan absolutely delicious and full of flavor and Like my dad said they weren’t blind they were perfectly filled with beef.. My pastelon perfecto, my parents dish arroz blanco con habichuelas Rojas and roasted pollo was so tasty and the garlic sauce a perfect addition to the pollo just wow! We Got to meet the beautiful Chef Tara and what a beautiful soul! She gave the taste of home not only in her food but her character she definitely brought the energy and the spirit of the island of Puerto Rico to Charlotte. We ended our meal with a cafecito con leche ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️and flan perfect ending to a wonderful dining experience.

What an amazing experience my boyfriend and I had at Papi’s. Such a friendly staff from once you walk into the door until it’s time to leave . When you first walk in they give you a table with a name of somewhere in Puerto Rico “we got Guaynabo” and it gives you facts about that specific place .the decorations were awesome and had such a personal touch ! The bathroom was so cool with the “Coqui” touch . Pictured here is the food we ate . The coffee tasted like a cafecito that your Tia makes on the island . The food was cooked with so much love “literally reminded me of my mothers/sisters cooking”. And that guava cheesecake was so delicious and was worth every bite ! I can say that we made new friends/family in charlotte “the the band Sublime were amazing !!!!” Thank you TikTok for showing us this amazing restaurant and PLEASE everyone and anyone go check out Papis !!!!
