Carnitas Guanajuato

Doesn't look like too much when you drive past this place, but if you give it a chance, you won't be disappointed. It has a big parking lot with plenty of parking spots to choose from. The place inside is quite big with an open floor plan and plenty of seating to choose from with a spacious bar. They offer a variety of Mexican dishes, cevhiche, menudo etc. I came and decided to get their menudo and 2 steak tacos. Thr food came out and was extremely hot! It's not a bad thing as that tells me that the food was freshly made and wasn't just sitting there. There is nothing worse than a cold tortilla for tacos. These tacos were hot and tasted delicious! The steak was perfectly marinated and exactly what I wanted. The menudo was extremely hot and burned my tongue a bit, but I definitely did not mind as it tasted amazing! They also bring out fresh tortillas for you to eat with it. You also get free chips and salsa. My server was extremely polite and gave great recommendations. I definitely recommend this location if you are craving some mexican. You won't be disappointed.

Spent a few days in NC. For some reason almost everything except bars close early during the week in this area. Our group was 4 women and after trying to eat at 2 other places (one was a private club and the other was a bar full of men who looked at us like we were fresh meat.. we literally RAN out the door lmao) we finally found this establishment. It was completely dead in there so I left the waitress a great tip. Food was awesome, service was great! I left my Togo box and my debit card there unfortunately but that's my fault. Will Def go back next time I'm in Charlotte NC.
