Peacock India Restaurant

This is definitely the best Indian restaurant in Charlotte! I have been here many times with my husband, and we even had our wedding reception here. When we have a guest or want to introduce someone to Indian cuisine, we take them here because they have good, quality food and maintain a great standard. Prices are reasonable, too. The only area in which they are lacking is service. Sometimes they seem to forget to wait on our table, and we have to call them over to take our order or get the bill.

Had a great experience at Peacock Indian last night for dinner. This was the first we had eaten here and I can say based on the food alone, we will be back! I have tried many different Indian dishes in the past and am generally not picky about food. I had a craving for the ever cliche Chicken Tikka Masala. As the person before me ordered this as well, the waiter kindly asked if we had tried other dishes, because he felt there were better things to be had. Again, I have tried many dishes, so I did know this, but appreciated it nonetheless. He recommended a dish for me and I'm glad I let him! I had a chicken curry dish loaded with veggies that was great. Not too spicy, but amazing flavor. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back. The only suggestion we have for the waitstaff is to greet/seat guests in a timely fashion and make sure you make regular water runs :)
