The manager was great at running everything smoothly & helped everyone out. However, the young staff CAN NOT STAY OFF OF THEIR PHONES‼️ They were trying to avoid helping the one server clean a table by hiding out in the back. That was messed up because she was working hard. Can we get back to keeping the phones locked up in the lockers/office during work hours. If it’s that important, you can be contacted ON THE WORK PHONE. It’s unsanitary to constantly touch your phones, then handle customers FOOD!! Next time I’m asking the Manager to serve me‼️

UPDATE 11/17/2023 - What a difference from the last time I came here. They are now under new management. The owner, Mazza, stopped by our table, and my husband and I told her about our negative experience last time. This time, we were seated immediately, and our server, Ahiam, greeted us right away. She was pleasant and friendly. The coffee and tea were served hot. I like that they have pots of coffee and hot water, so you don't have to keep asking for refills. We had the Weekday Special for $6.99. My husband had two Protein Power, pancakes, grits, one sausage, one bacon, and two eggs over easy. I had two Buttermilk pancakes, hash browns, one sausage, one bacon, and two fried eggs. Everything was served hot and was delicious. Since we live locally, we plan to visit more often. Especially during the week to take advantage of the special. In addition, this is a great spot to stop if traveling on Interstate 485 in Charlotte. Easy on and off ramp. Hats off to the new management and staff. Keep up the good work.

Newest special are pancake tacos! Nice! Rooty Tooty breakfast special isn't on the 6 page menu or at least I haven't seen it ... but I've ordered it and is good ... they have a senior 55+ menu and a kid's menu ... and check for local specials... They can put about anything on a pancake ... tell them no whipped cream if you don't want any or they may put a big swirl on top. Ask for crispy bacon if you like crispy. Each table has an insulated coffee container...

I usually dread the thought of going to the local IHOP restaurants in the Charlotte Metro area. Wait times are always arduously long…both in line and once seated. However, I started a tradition of birthday pancakes a long time ago with my youngest son. Because he is unfazed by wait times and he loves “yanyakes” (his pronunciation of pancakes when he was a toddler), I bit the bullet and we went to get some pancakes on a Saturday. Pulling into the parking lot, I observed a full lot and people outside the IHOP doors. Sigh…here we go. Long story short…either this place is under new and effective management or the Birthday Pancakes Fairy was feeling generous today. The staff was friendly, efficient, wait times were reasonable for breakfast foods, and everything was brought to the table as ordered. Way to go IHOP team! Thank you for making a special tradition a special experience.
