Bharathi Mess

This is situated in Akbar Sahib Street in Triplicane. Opppsite side/rad of Bus stand. Few other branches are also there in other places. I have been to this mess so many times. It is such a quality mess much better than many hotels. Since it is a mess, chairs will not be there to sit and eat. A few years ago, they limited sambar or any side dishes to a cup or so, the quality was so good at those times. No extras at all. But that quantity was enough. When they started to provide extra sambar/other side dishes, the quality came down. Also when they started to provide many varieties too, the quality which was early didn't be there nowadays. Mostly, women work here. Not connected to Bharathiyar anyway, thinks so. But bharathiyar related information will be posted on the walls. In the limited space, all tables are properly arranged, and a few washbasins and food were served properly. Price will be a little higher than other normal mess or hotels, but quality will be better. Availability of an item can be known outside itself when a clip is there against that item. Will not affect the stomach in any way as they don't use artificial items in the food. Nowadays they have started serving. This is a mess where you can have food all three times without any fear of stomach issues. Always a memorable place and will eat there whenever I go to that side.

One of the best Veg meals which I had in recent years,for rs.110/-. after 1 hour touring beach with my family in morning was hungry at 12pm googled near by hotels spotted this mess which was nearer,no expectations very small space in mess but the rice well cooked hot serving sambar Kara kulambu rasam all on table really superb,2 types of kootu fantastic and with one poriyal , served one Vada ,ragi kolkatai small one,appalam, finally the curd was really awesome i didn't know rice was limited just had the curd in glass to drink which was good, could have served a small quantity of rice at last.only one con to serve only one person was available.

Always favourite shop since 2016 mostly i have my breakfast and dinner here sometimes lunch meals I don't have that much photos to post but trust me I'm regular customer of this mess since 7 years What ever in the menu will be fantastic and hygienic In 2016 it's a self service with affordable price But, now they serves and price also increased compare to other hotels But, taste and quality of the mess remains the same My suggestion is cost cut the price by 10 - 20 percent again introduce self service it will be beneficial for bachelors and daily eaters. Best recommendations here, must try Idiyappam vada curry Garlic dosa (top notch) Veg meals (Best and better) Sumuthi milk
