Saravana Bhavan

We tried a South Indian thali meal and it was a nice experience. The plate featured a variety of dishes, including flavorful curries, rice, and traditional accompaniments. The authenticity of each dish showcased the restaurant's commitment to South Indian cuisine. The service and the staff was attentive. The pricing was reasonable for the quality and quantity of food provided. Overall, a satisfied.

Absolutely loved this place. Way better then Delhi one. Cleanliness was well maintained, prompt service. They have hung beautiful hand paintings all around the sitting area. Wished to take one of them home. We tried their breakfast tiffin, onion dosa, Idiyappam and coconut milk which was wonderful. 😍

Saravana Bhavan has a major hype when it comes to South Indian restaurants in Delhi. So, while on my visit to Chennai, I wanted to have its experience at the place it initiated. I tried their Lunch meal which, as seen in the pic, was a vibrant platter of various curries served with rice, and Payasam. The taste was good and the vibe of the place felt authentic. On the downside, I felt that the staff was a little less responsive. I also bought a pack of their store-packed snack called Seedai, which I didn't like much. Overall, this is a great recommendation for any tourist looking for a good South Indian lunch.
