Gandhi Nagar is one of the oldest extension of Chennai (Madras) . It is a high end area now. With the advent of IT industry the place is very expensive. It is situated on the southern side o Adyar river. Not Much social infrastructure here, and so people have to North of the river. In future it may grow upwards. My experience here had been always pleasant.

This is a good place to board MTC buses. From here buses goes to Secretariat and towards Thiruvanmiyur and to ECR and OMR. Climate shed is available
