Saravana Bhavan

Saravana Bhavan is a traditional and most sought after restaurant with ample parking facilities at Valasaravakkam in Arcot road. Certain services can be made better to attract more customers and retain them. For instance, mini tiffin costs Rs.160/- but without mini coffee or tea. Similar item costs around Rs.50 to Rs.60/- with mini coffee/tea in many restaurants in Chennai. It’s only a suggestion.

So this was my second visit and I always order special South Indian meals. This place is well maintained located at lakshmi nagar porur. Has enough parking space. They have North Indian dishes too in their menu, however I would suggest one should try South Indian meals, it's authentic in taste. Staff members are courteous and they manage the crowd pretty well. Afternoon especially between 1pm to 2pm you may find it crowded. Talking about price it's reasonable.

Post lockdown visit ..Place wasn't crowded too much . Standard menu items . Service was quite decent and so was the taste as well . Food items were hot. The only thing was prices looked a little exhobirant for the taste . Parking is quite spacious though. Would recomend for a evening outing . Can improve a bit on the accompaniments

I recently had dinner at this restaurant. My order was for Ghee 14 Idly Sambar and a Dosa. I can never stop loving their 14 idly sambar which has been delicious every single time I've had it from many Saravana Bhavan restaurants. The Dosa was good as well. Service was quick and, their staff was courteous. The ambiance isn't calm in the Non-AC hall. If you are someone who likes to have food in a quiet environment, I'd recommend the AC hall. HSB is one of the best places to have good vegetarian food.
