Outstanding, authentic Andhra food. Everything was fresh, the gongura chutney made in sesame oil, podi etc. The ghee was great quality. Great service too. Very prompt. The meals are served on banana leaf. The price is also nominal. Worth for the quality given. Valet parking available. Easily visible from the main road. The restrooms and hand was area could be more clean and dry. The ambience is 6/10. Could be cozier but everything is made up by the taste of the food.

Blown Over. It was awesome experience I ever had in Chennai. The people who want pure authentic Andhra food especially for nellore guys should try here. The curries which they serve for 'Bhojanam' are literally good as equal to home food even you can feel the spicyness of curries. You will get all kinds of varieties of food here and even there is different types of 'Goli Soda' as beverages. Must Try restaurant.

So went to KVR Navayuga for lunch on a Saturday. It wasn't crowded. It's right next to cream stone and there's limited space for parking, maybe only 2 cars can be parked at a time. You walk up a short flight of stairs to the restaurant which is in the first floor. First thing to point out, it is clean. Service was very good, exemplary even! They were forthcoming with what to try and what might be too much. We had their meals which had everything! It has one chicken, mutton, fish and prawn dish apart from all the usual accompaniments for a regular south Indian meals along with a bowl of chicken biryani and unlimited white rice. Their podis were the highlight of the meal! Especially their prawn podi, we were apprehensive to try it at first but it was a sure winner! They had buttermilk provided with the meals, we ordered a goli soda which was also a nice accompaniment to the meal. It complemented well with the whole environment and lunch. The pricing was very well! Each meal which had everything in it was Rs 500 odd. Definitely worth it Overall this place is a GEM! I'll definitely be singing praises of this place and be visiting this place again!

A slice of Nostalgia... The Old Navayuga in CIT colony Mylapore was a great place to savour the authentic taste of Andhra cuisine (with a limited menu, thankfully) in Chennai until it closed down over a decade ago. After a long gap, one day I spotted the signage Navayuga on a building and I hoped that it was the original and not some me-too restaurant trying to Piggy Back on the established name. And thankfully it is the Original. Or at least it is started by the same family members as that of the original. Now is it as good as the one which closed down? No not exactly. But then the food is great, the owners are very friendly and caring, (Maybe they would be like that till they establish their business, but it is OK.)But then Over and above all else... It is a great TASTE OF NOSTALGIA... in the end it is what matters....
