Sri Anna Poorna Andhra Mess

One of the old Andhra mess outlets available in Chennai. That says the quality of food and service they provide. I've been a fan of this mess from 2013 since I joined CTS MEPZ campus. The meal parcel would be sufficient for two average eaters. Prefer the dine in rather than the take away since you get unlimited sides and curries. They have additional sides and serve beverages at additional cost. Service is very prompt. The cleanliness seems questionable by the looks but the place is actually clean. The dinning area is air conditioned and so you can have a some peaceful meal.

Located in 1st floor, little crunchy to walk through the stairs but they have good seating capacity with Fully Air conditioned room. Tasted Veg meals, they keep on serving the rice - always hot (no soda). That is something special for Andra mess. Podi and oil (no ghee) , Dhal, Chutney are so good, Excellent taste. Sambar and fry is quite below average. Rasam, mor kuzhambu and curd are very good. No parking facilities for 4 wheelers.

This is one of the signature Andhra mess located right opposite to MEPZ bus stand. Fully air conditioned dining. The food is good and the service is also good. The cost of food is bit higher due to the A/C facility bit crowded in afternoon. Parking will be difficult for even 2 wheelers you need to park some where near by and walk a bit to reach the restaurant.
