Mint Place Vietnamese Restaurant

07/06/2022 - take out New management! Reduced review stars due to the following. Today I've ordered some takeaways. The person who took the order messed up. And I was asked at the restaurant again when I arrive. Which I confirm no 28 & 30. The order took longer to complete, which is alright considering it is a new management. When I was making my payment, the young chap got upset with for his mess up on the order. Which clearly is his fault as I confirmed the order as per the number on the menu. It can't be that difficult. His attitude definitely needs improvement. When I got home, it was incorrect. I've ordered chicken crispy egg noodles (no 28) and rice noodle seafood (Ho Phan - no 30). And received both with rice noodle instead of one egg noodles and one rice noodle. Food taste was alright, slightly different from previous management. Portion still good. Disappointed. I might give another go again sometime soon And hope they improve by then. 25/5/2022 - dine in Our weekly dining place A small family business with lots of charm. Generous portion with fresh ingredients. Definitely a must to visit when you are in the hood. Very friendly service and quick too. Basically is our weekly dine in place to be. Looks totally different from last time we visited and loved the fresh paint and clutter-free walls. The staff is alright but not as good and accommodating compared to previous management. I find the food still taste amazing, especially the pho broth. I had the crispy egg noodles and it would've been nicer if there's a little more sauce because it was too dry for my liking. Will come back to try their other dishes.

Great little place. Food was tasty, good quality, fresh, and quite reasonably priced. Very difficult to find a decent Vietnamese place since moving to the north side so it's nice to know it exists! Wish the special beef pho has a few more of the standard offerings (like tripe) but I understand why it doesn't for the demographic of the area.

When we arrived at Mint Place Vietnamese we were surprised the restaurand was empty but we still decided to try the food as the pictures looked great on google. We were quite dissapointed, 5 stars for the service, very friendly people. The food however was very plain, bland and boring. It didn't have that fresh Vietnamese taste of herbs, all the food was very dry and tasteless, the rice paper rolls had started to dry and the rice was overcooked and reheated in the failed attempt to "freshen it up" I have moved up to QLD from Melbourne where the Vietnamese food is amazing, this did not meet the standard at all. I give this feedback in the hope of improvement as the restaurant looks great and the service is wonderful, it just needs the food to go with it.
