Empire Buffet

I went to this place with my family some times. Our kids like the place. We went on new year day and they gave us 50% more check on way. Normally the businesses want to appreciate their customer, and they would have the same price all the year round. But it seems strange for me as it seems that restaurants also wants to make money like the air plain ticket and or gas prices and they can make it fluctuate rates too. Any way, be careful with this restaurant.

Let's get one thing straight. I have a deep love for Chinese Food. I'm the amateur authority on Chinese Food among friends and family. I *care* about Chinese Food. When it's not a throw away dinner item, it can be amazing. I sympathize with the fact Ruby is a buffet, but you know what you're getting when you walk into Ruby Buffet: quantity. A lot of it. And fast. That being said, Ruby sometimes lets their quality slip. Somehow, I still end up at Ruby Buffet regularly, mostly for my Asian food addiction (and it's the only place my grandfather will go out to). However I should also note (since I've been there a lot) that on numerous occasions my friends and family's have gotten sick from Ruby. I have not. At this point I think I'm immune. But I have witnessed at least 3 people close to me tell me they've gotten sick. I feel like statistically that's a lot. All the same, please tip your server.
