Broken English Taco Pub

Hey this is my second time being here since before the pandemic and honestly I'm so happy to discover this place again. The food was unexpectedly huge for such a small price and the drinks are amazing. The Service topped it all I was in tonight and my server was so nice and helpful he got me addicted to the Rosemary's baby drink. Thank you so much Emilo for the excellent service man. I hope nothing but the best for this location. I know there's more but this one is going to be a hard act to follow.

So awesome! I had such a good time at this establishment. I had the camerones tacos and they were delicious, pouring a good amount of the sauce they come with on them is recommended because it's just as good. The pub itself has beautiful street art on its' walls, dim lighting helps set the atmosphere. The highlight of the night were the margaritas! Do yourself a favor and try the spicy marg, you wont be disappointed. Shoutout to Emilio and Julio our wonderful bartenders who made our drinks and the night. Mike was also outstanding with his recommendations! Side note the Churro shot was a surprise favorite 😊

I’m visiting Chicago for work and was BLOWN AWAY by this spot. I do local business reviews in my city and couldn’t wait to check out Chicago. For those staying in the area, Broken English is a MUST add to your bucket list for food and drinks. I wanted something filling, delicious and affordable. I got 3/3. The cocktail made by bartender Emilio called Haze Violeta was genuinely spectacular - tangy, fresh, not too sweet, and absolutely stunning aesthetically. For food, I got the elote and tacos - chicken tinga and brisket. The elote was spicy and drowning (in the best way) in chipotle queso which was incredibly flavorful. The chicken tinga tacos are some of the best I’ve had (recommended by Emilio) and the brisket tacos were mouth-watering - spicy from the Serrano escabeche, crunchy from the veggies and the beef was tender to the point of melting in my mouth. You know a place is good when a) it’s busy for lunch b) has a good mix of music including reggaeton and c) every bite you take is mouthwatering with juices oozing out of your food! Come here for sure, friends!

What a fun place this is! Loved all the vegan tacos and cocktails, Paloma and Rosemarys baby were mind boggling! Loved the decor and service was good too. Would definitely visit again to sit outside when in the area. The taco platter with taco shrimps and others had potatoes filling. The dessert churro shouts was also yum!

I came here for my Bday 8/16 & ordered some margaritas & Papas Enchiladas. My bartender was Nylah. She was great. I loved the experience. My only complaint is the food. The fries were not fried at all. They tasted like they were either put in the oven or microwave. For the price you pay you only get a small amount & then to add to it they taste horrible, so I wouldn’t recommend the food. However, the drinks are definitely worth it. I came back a week later 8/23 & tried the food again. I like to try things more than once before I just completely reject it altogether. This time I got the Nacho Mama’s Nachos. I will give this dish a 3 ⭐️. However, all in all the food isn’t something I care to spend my money on at this establishment. I won’t ever order food from here again.
