This place is great. Great food, and a good cup of coffee. Stop by and visit Juan. Great customer service, kind, and a great memory with names and for people that like to order the usual. This gentlemen just cares about the customers. He's one of the primary reasons I keep coming in. FANTASTIC PLACE !

So it's becoming clearer and clearer to me that I am the authority on mass/ commercial coffee shops. Just ask the folks over at my favorite spot Stan's in Wicker. Now I love a good basic espresso. I need no frills just an extreme boost. However, I'm noticing more and more a lot of these coffee shops are a bit um , lets say favoritist. This place is surely not that. I came into the place du rag proudly displayed, as I feel it a crown. It's gold btw. I was greeted and complimented on my appearance. Now mind you all this is the financial district. I'm a bit oddly dressed in this sea of suits. However, the baristas were very attentive. They even included me in their spat about the send off of Captain America. This is quite a personable shop! After I sat sipping my espresso and completing a little Urban Devo homework. The people watching floor to ceiling windows are perfect if you're a person like me and need that recognition when you are working hard. People are walking past STARING at your work. I'm validated. Isn't that why we all ya go-getters come to coffee shops? Anyhoo, I love the scenery. The guys up front kept it clean. I got a crisp and bold espresso that helped me knock out 3 hours of audit time before yoga at 105*F Chicago. Yes, I maximize these doppios lol. Stop by and say hi to these guys. Then sit down and watch the rat race before you . . . or let it watch you. (-1 *) *Minus one star because I will admit the guys talked with me for a while and ignored a few customers longer than reasonable sssssss just being straight up. You're great guys and it was a lively convo but the new customers were forming a line guys and I kinda had to walk away to end the convo out of respect. Everyone makes mistakes though. :)

It was my 1st time visiting. I could have eaten 500 different things. It was very clean all the food was very fresh and extremely delicious! I would recommend this for great fresh fast food for lunch in the city. Even the Mac and cheese was remarkably hot and creamy for being put up in a warming area to purchase. I'll be back!

Eating healthy is not easy, so I’m glad Pret is nearby to help with providing good natural food. It’s great that this place is opened early for those that have to get to the office early. Yelp says 630a but the hours of operation on the door says 6am. I came in right before 7a and thought they were closed because I didn’t see anyone inside. However, as I entered through the revolving door, I was greeted by someone walking to the counter from the back. Their fridge didn’t seem fully stocked yet, but I was there to try the acai bowl, which I had to order at the counter. They took only a minute to make it and I was out the door, quick and convenient! They offer healthy looking food and beverages here at a reasonable price. The acai bowl, although small, packs a big punch for $6. The bowl has acai & berry puree, peanut butter, bananas, granola, pomegranate and shredded apples on top and it was delicious! A 13.5oz bottle of green juice was also $6. I think the green juice was more apple than vegetable, it was ok. Bircher Museli $4 – Greek yogurt, honey, apples and granola topped with pomegranate, toasted almonds, and dried cranberries. Delicious and filling breakfast.
