The Hampton Social - River North

Hampton Social was a tasty dinner and welcome escape from the cold outside. I ordered the chicken pesto bowl, which was flavorful and satisfying. The chicken was juicy and moist. My friend ordered the salmon, which was over cooked and dry unfortunately. My other friend ordered the green goddess bowl with salmon. She said that the salmon was cooked well, but the salad was a bit overdressed. Her salad had cubes of dry, hard pork belly in it which was a huge oversight on the kitchen’s part and detracted from the dish. All in all, there were several gluten free options and I had a nice meal. I would recommend the chicken pesto bowl!

First time here and it was everything I imagined. My date and I enjoyed our food. I started out with a Hampton Frose, for appetizers Crispy Quesadillas and Tuna Tartare. For brunch I chose the “The Gatsby Breakfast” which consist of French Toast, eggs, bacon (substitute turkey sausage), and hash browns. Capped off the afternoon with a “Coopers Beach morning stroll”, it was decent but liked the Frose better.

In general, this restaurant is remarkable. But to be precise, some waiters aren't the best and the music is at times too loud. Loud to the point that the waiter "could not hear" our order right. It's also a bit warm in the restaurant, so don't bring a full winter coat. Other than the cons, the tunes are nice, there's a coat rack, the food is delicious, and they make extravagant mock tails! I would recommend this place for a date, as the lighting during night is intimate and the decorations are nice. One main problem was the food being messed up, our waiter heard us wrong and gave us dairy in one of the meals, then charged us more for the asparagus which was supposed to come free with the meal. The place is nice, the truffle fries and calamari are delicious. The bathrooms are tiny. And that's it!

Brunch was an absolute delight - flawless cuisine, exceptional service, and a charming atmosphere; undoubtedly deserving a perfect 10 out of 10. Be sure to make a reservation and indulge in the delectable Monkey Bread! As out-of-towners, we sought a trendy brunch destination with great food, and this place, among a few others, exceeded our expectations.
