Scooter's Frozen Custard

My wife and I really like this place. Two sizes of cones since I need to lose weight haha. My wife said her Chicago Dog was awesome! The staff was friendly and we got to sit outside on benches with others and enjoy our snack. It was a nice experience! It also cost a lot less than I was expecting. Not sure if I should type that part or not ....

This is one of Chicago's old frozen custard spots and a hidden gem. If you are from Chicago or planning to visit, this is a must place for dessert. They have varieties of concretes, malts, shakes and ice-creams. The prices are good and service is quick. I would recommend the Java Lava or Caramel Fudge Nut Brownie Chip concrete which is the one I am holding.

The brownie sundae here is amazing! The inside looks descent, but a bit small. Got here just in time before a big line started to form. The young lady with the cross necklace was super chill and helpful! However, the man handing out the orders for pickup could be improved more by saying thanks & smile since it's the weekend. It's something to make people feel comfortable and cared for, so customer service should be managed optimistaclly. Overall, this place has earned some 5 stars

Insanely delicious frozen custard - probably the best frozen custard I’ve ever had! The line wasn’t too bad when we arrived although it quickly become very crowded and the line was out the door. They had great flavors to choose from or you could create your own concrete. I ended up with the classic cookie dough concrete and it was fantastic. It’s always nice to have toppings throughout the concrete and not just at the top. Can’t wait to come back!

Wowza!! Delicious ice cream. They have a flavor of the day system, which is fun! My day was pistachio. They have so many toppings and different types of ice cream treats- sundaes, shakes, “concrete” mixer like treats, endless!! Long line but love that you can go in the store or they have an cute window order station. Long lines on a hot day but it moves fast. They even have free pup cones! Minus 1 star for prices (a kids sundae and a 2-scoop sundae was over $15 😏). Overall, I will be back because it was delicious and I want to try more of their flavor of the days and they have shakes or sundaes of the month which is fun!
