Franco's Ristorante

The atmosphere here is to die for. The gal handling food coming out of the window clearly is the person you want to steal if you ever open a restaurant. She was balancing food for the dinning room and take out customers. She also seemed to recognize, greet, and care about regulars. The only thing that keeps it from being a five for me is we had the unfortunate experience of the bartender being out, and a server filling in. Not a single mixed drink was right, had to switch to bottled beer for our safety LOL

My friend found Franc’s Ristorante! Sooo, let me get into it. Before I get into it, my friend was the one who made reservations. I was under the impression that it would be just a normal Italian place. I would be remised if I would say that it was normal. The food, of the food! It was hands down the best Italian place I have been to since living here in Illinois. The pasta was cooked perfectly. And the amount of heat / spicy that it was made me want to keep eating more of it. Even the salad, everything in it was coated in the dressing. And the pizza was like eating heaven. Now on to the service. It was perfect our waiter / waitress checked in often and asked what we needed or if things were good. And they were highly attentive. The atmosphere was excellent all the pictures and the lighting made the experience one that I would not forget. Overall, I will say give Franco’s a try you will not regret it and will want to come back to try more things on the menu!

I am 63 years old and have traveled all over the world. This was in the top ten and the best Italian restaurant I have eaten in Chicago. If you have not been here get in the car and go. If you are from out of town and not sure where to go. Look no more. Not only is the food Amazing the service was one of the best I have ever experienced. The nicest people. I left my credit card and they were kind enough to call and let me know. Thanks for a wonderful evening. Next time I am in Chicago I will be back.

First dined here one night since close and convenient. Wasn't overly hungry so just looking for something quick. When we were served fresh bread with olive oil and parmesan cheese to start, we knew we'd be back. Two days later we returned for dinner. It took a few minutes but the waitress remembered us; very friendly and made sure we were okay. Can't say enough positive things about this place. I'm from NYC area so that's saying something. Big portions, great tasting food, service was great. Definitely will be back when in town.
