Roots Handmade Pizza - Lincoln Square

Went there for a late dinner, we got the curly fries, and that was ok. There could’ve been wayyyyyy more cheese on it and way more fries as well. The pizza was good, but could’ve used a bit more marinara sauce on it, kinda too much breading an not enough sauce. And yes we were told you got a new updated menu but the cider I ordered you guys did not have and it wasn’t taken off the menu, and the cider I did have was not on the menu at all… so maybe update a little bit more.

Who goes to a most excellent pizza place and orders salad? I do! Taking nothing away from the pizza, which is excellent. The build your salad is a great treat… seemingly unlimited options for toppings and greens! Spouse had the garlic mushroom pizza! Beer list is excellent! Eddie and Michaela provided wonderful service with many smiles!!

Great outdoor patio for dining, really lovely flower boxes and a canopy of shade trees. This summer ambience made the meal wonderful. Service was good; pizza was pretty good! It’s not super thick crust but has some thickness to it and sweetness to it. It’s really tasty pizza. I also recommend the honey chicken poppers appetizer- so good!!

The Bettendorf Steak Hoagie was delicious! I highly recommend it if you aren't in the mood for pizza. In the wake of COVID-19 they were still not open for indoor dining, but the outdoor patio dining was perfect. The sidewalk patio has plenty of room between tables, beautiful plants and a great atmosphere!
