The restaurant is cute, like the inter design. The food is decent. They can improve a bit on the fried chicken karaage as it taste a bit floury. The ramen is ok nothing special

Ordered the brussel sprouts and the Tokyo shoyu ramen. Brussel sprouts were roasted and came out piping hot. They were soft but still had a good chew, 7.4/10.
The ramen came with 2 thick pieces of chashu, menma, green onions, naruto fish cake and half a soy sauce egg. Overall the toppings were good and the pork chashu was incredibly tender given how thick the pieces were. The broth was salty and had good depth and umami. The noodles had a good texture and had a solid bite. Overall a really good bowl of ramen, 8.6/10

I ordered the vegan ramen with a side of the garlic chips. The side of garlic was definitely not worth an extra $2, but the broth and. Overall, broth and noodles were great though! The Green Geisha cocktail was quite refreshing after the hot soup!

A hip and trendy ramen spot in West Loop’s Fulton Market that doesn’t take reservations, so maybe expect a wait if you go at popular dinner times. Luckily, my friends and I got the last available table at 6 on a Friday, so we were seated immediately. The space is small and cozy, and the vibes were casual. The service is friendly and pretty quick.
They have a mix of ramen, rice bowls, steamed bao buns, and small plates, but I opted for just ramen and got the Tokyo Classic Shoyu. It was quite delicious and satisfying, though the broth was too salty— the saltiness in the broth unfortunately overpowered its other fragrant and hearty flavors. The noodles were well-cooked though and had a nice texture. The bamboo was soft and chewy, the egg delicious. The pork belly char siu was extremely tender, fatty, and flavorful. The ingredients in the bowl were great overall and fresh— my only real complaint was the saltiness of the broth, which unfortunately diminished the consumption experience.
Prices are pretty high ($16-17 per bowl), but standard for the area. I’ve only been to one other ramen spot in West Loop, but I would say the whole package (noodles + ingredients + broth) tasted better and fresher here. Overall, I was a fan and would like to try their vegan ramen in the future.

Ramen shop located in west loop serving ramen, bao buns, and even sushi! First time trying Ramen Takeya and I was pleasantly surprised at one how well decorated the place was and two how tasty the food was!! Ordered a few different things each was 5 stars:
Chicken bao buns had awesome flavor with the perfect sweet and savory combo
Ramen was spicy enough for a kick but not overpowering
Poke bowl was a huge serving that had the right about of fish to rice
The Brussel sprouts had the perfect taste to them!
Will be back to Ramen Takeya!

This place is great. Lovely outdoor seating that was comfortable. We had such tasty food. We started with the pork belly bao buns. It was super flavorful. Although, I prefer pork belly with some crisp. We then had the spicy chicken ramen and after our lovely waitress recommended it, the miso. She was right, the miso was so good. So was the spicy chicken though.
Our waitress was great. Kind, quick and lovely.
The other staff we interacted with were also attentive and quick.
Support this amazing spot and eat here often.

This ramen place is comfy and the service is fantastic! Everyone is welcoming and attentive, my group never waited more than a few seconds when asking additional things. The food was delicious as well, the chicken karaage had a delcious spicy mayo and the Osaka shio ramen was tasty, although I would have enjoyed a crispier char siu.

The exterior of this ramen joint is so plain you would miss it if you weren’t looking for it. I was absolutely blown away by how good the food here was. Their karaage is full of flavour, tender and juicy with a nice thin crispy batter. The Osaka shio ramen is phenomenal with the yuzu boost addon (don’t even think about skipping it), and was probably the best Shio ramen I have ever had
This one is a must-visit!

The hype for this place is too much.. I guess 5 years ago when I tried it first time it was worth it.. but not anymore..
We got the staple starters Chicken Karaage and Crispy Takoyaki chicken plus Osaka Shiro and Misso bold and spicy ramen..
Chicken Karaage was not even crispy and color does not look appealing. The Takoyaki well it was decent with the souce but I had better ones. Ramen was great though the broth was very rich ..
Overall.. good experience but not worth the hype.

Really good ramen, excellent appetizers. I recommend the pork bun. They made a mistake with giving us our order but they fixed it quickly so everything was fine. Definitely better than most of the other ramen shops in the area.
