Visit 1 Valentine's Diner was amazing. The server was great. This food was interesting. Steak is amazing. The Rambler is an amazing drink. Visit 2 Birthday celebration. Staff was great. Black and White is nice as is the steak. Ramble is still amazing. Cheesecake is very nice, with birthday greetings!!!! Staff gave us a menu with birthday greetings from the staff. Visit 3 NYE Amazing grilled oysters, lobster bisque, bavette steak, salmon and flaming peaches.

This restaurant is absolutely splendid! Not only was the service impeccable, but the food was also delicious and mock tails were like no other. I came here to eat brunch with a friend and were the last guests before the restaurant closed down for their two hour break in between the brunch/dinner services. Although we stayed until closing nobody rushed us out and we felt welcome to stay as long as we’d like. We chose to sit in the dining area which had a wall of greens and the most aesthetic vibe. Moving on to the food, everything was perfect! My friend got the Onward Burger and loved every bite of it, while I got the avocado toast with smoked salmon and poached eggs. Both eggs were delicious and runny, and the salmon was very delectable. To finish up, we split a dessert platter which we ended up taking home becasue we were stuffed, but every dessert was mouthwatering! From the coffee and apple cakes to the donuts and cinnamon rolls there was something for everyone back at home. Overall, I definitely recommend this place if you’re ever in the Rogers Park area! Parking is breezy, and if you drive, ask for a mock tail or two!

After months waiting for Onward to open, I was not disappointed!!! This restaurant and delicious cuisine is exactly what the Rogers Park neighborhood needs. The restaurant is appealing to a mixed clientele; it has both a beautiful, intimate fine dining room as well as a casual, laid back bar area. I understand there is going to eventually be rooftop service sometime next year. As for the food, I can't say enough; it was superb and artistically plated. Chef Russ' experience and creativity didn't go unnoticed! I tried to rank my favorite dishes, but there wasn't one I would recommend over the others. My best advice, go hungry and with friends so you can sample it all! My party agreed as we all traded bites. It will be hard, but make sure you save room for dessert, at least one! Lastly, there is a nice selection of signature cocktails; definitely try the Cheshire Mule,a fun twist on Alice in Wonderlands magic potion. Kudos to Onwards talented team!! I'll be back soon to try the lunch/brunch me.

Wonderful experience! Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was excellent. We enjoyed lunch and brunch options. The special sauce on the burger was great, the roasted cauliflower soup was creamy and flavorful. They served the best latte I've had in a while. Even the desserts were outstanding.
