Son Of A Butcher

TLDR: Great food, mediocre service. Taco Tuesday is the biggest bang for your buck. Taco Tuesday is a great deal. $2 tacos when they’re usually $4. We tried a variety of them and gotta say the Crispy Chicken and shrimp tacos are the best. ALSO you have to try the wings. They come in a variety of sauces, barbecue, honey bbq, garlic Parmesan and buffalo. They come in 12 pieces and could probably be enough to be an appetizer for 2-4 people depending on how hungry your group is. We got the snickers cheesecake and we really loved that. Lastly, the service can be hit or miss. Sometimes it’s really great and other times you have to really flag down your server if you need something. Just be prepared for that. I find I get this kind of service when I don’t order alcohol. Both bathrooms are really well cleaned, and felt like the establishment was really well taken care of. The booths are a little dingy. Probably will return again... on a Tuesday night.

Love this place, been here many times. However today’s service was not so great, I asked the waitress 2 questions, and she answered back with a question. I asked if they had Sam Adams she said “Is it in the menu?” I asked if they had seasonal beers she answered “i don’t think so.” She’s the one who works there she should know. (Right?) I thought her answers were arrogant. However i still gave her, her 20% because I hope she was just having a bad day. (We all have bad days). Next time i won’t let it slide, her answers almost ruined my night.

First time at SOB, wandered in after finding an hour plus wait time at Fat Rice across the street. The beer selection was great, not massive but a good variety of craft and generic ones. Service was great, the staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient, particularly for a Saturday night! The food was so so so good! Had the loaded fries, with the sauce, cheese, jalapeños, bacon, and egg just running to together into a delicious mess. The butcher's platter was a really good size (after the fries we couldn't even finish half), the meat was cooked and seasoned so well it was divine. The little rack of ribs had a different sauce I wasn't used to, more vinegar-y than usual, but it was still great. Every part of this meal was just superb! I hardly get so lucky just wandering into a place but SOB was so good ill definitely be back!

I’ve never had trouble getting a seat at Son of a Butcher, and that’s good because I’m excited to eat when I arrive. I eat off the appetizers menu because the offerings are generous and I like a bit of everything, so I can’t comment first hand on the burgers or brisket. I can say my friends seem to love it. The outdoor patio is small, but they don’t cram you in. I recommend trying the street corn very highly. It comes in two small pieces, but there’s a lot of flavor. The mass steak fries are also delicious. I love the poblano Mac and cheese, but it’s very mild on the spice scale. I highly recommend.

Love this place ! It is one of my all time favorite go-to places. Their atmosphere is super relaxed and soo much fun! I've taken my son out there for lunch. Have gone with my parents for dinner. Visited with family and friends for dinner and drinks & dranks, because there's definitely a difference there ! The staff is amazing, attentive, and never make you feel rushed. They treat you like a regular all the time, whether it's your first time or 50th time. The food is bomb af and finger licking good! Never thought it'd be excited for tacos de Nopales on taco Tuesday but I am! The Butcher platter is a must for everyone to have! Their, bitter like my ex, drink has become one of my favs to sip on and enjoy as I sway my shoulders and jam out to their amazing taste in music ! If I like you as a person I'm taking you to SOB😋

Been there twice. Came back bc the food was tasty the first time. Second time I tried the shrimp tacos. The shrimp inside was really delicious, fresh and had a nice balance of seasoning, but the tortillas were not edible. I did not mind too much because the filling was so good, I would still order them again.
