Barba Yianni Grecian Taverna

We went here for dinner last night and we were seated with no reservations - very nice for a Friday night. We sat outside and I had the lamb chops - which were beautifully seasoned and very good. My partner had the chicken lemonati which he loved. The rice is SO good too. The portions were very generous and the price was right. We highly recommend this restaurant. The chef knows how to cook lamb chops perfectly (order them thick cut, which are two double chops). Also ask for some lemon to squeeze on top. The last time I had lamb chops at a restaurant this good was the old Black Ram in Des Plaines, IL.

We through wedding shower for our son and his bride at this wonderful restaurant. Anas and his staff were amazing and addressed every detail to make it a perfect event. The food and wine were delicious and plentiful. The service was "spot on!" I highly recommend this restaurant to hold a special celebration or event.

We celebrated my son’s birthday last night. Chris and Tasso were so friendly and patient with the gaggle of teenagers that trickled in late:). Daniel mixed some great drinks. The service was exceptional; the food was great. The hummus, gyros, Greek style potatoes, and “flaming” cheese were among my favorites. Thank you to all of the staff for making my son’s day extra special!

This place is warm and wonderful. My wife and I went here on a date night before we went to a movie. The staff is very kind and the restaurant has a lovely, dark atmosphere. The menus were in tablets, which I thought was very cool and modern. I ordered the Gyros Plate and my wife ordered the chicken breast lemonati. We were blown away by the flavors and the generous portions, which could have made two meals, if we wanted. They have outdoor seating that is covered by an awning and plenty of indoor seating with an event space. The one weird thing is that there are slot machines in the back of the restaurant, which is kind of tacky and depressing. I would highly recommend it!

We were hungry for Greek food and based on the menu, it looked like this would be a good place. I am happy to say that it is. The zucchini chips with garlic dip were very good, as was the octopus and salad. We somehow managed to save room for the thin lamb chops, and these were also very good. Our waiter, Tasos, took very good care of us and made the experience all the more enjoyable. There are many more good things on the menu so we will just have to come back again sometime -hopefully soon.
