Ironside Bar & Galley

The management was SUPER friendly! Went while there was a lot of hockey fans that were very excited for the game they were watching - not my scene but was kinda of fun to watch them. The bartender was okay, more focused on a couple of friends that bought her a shot that she drank when she knew the management was not watching. I think she relied on wearing almost no clothes (daisy duke shorts with fishnet stockings) more than her bartending abilities for tips. Giving four instead of three stars since the management even told us that it was a different crowd than normal and they were super friendly to us. I would give it a chance again in the future and hope for better bartender.

Good spot to watch a sports game. The DJ transitioned between game audio during the game and music during the commercials which was a really nice touch. Cheap beer ($4 domestic) when you get a bucket is a plus as well. Food was pretty standard bar food at regular prices. Relative to other spots in River North it's pretty cheap and you aren't sacrificing any quality.

I was a part of a bar crawl recently and Ironside was our first stop, which was the perfect setup. Ironside emits a cool and carefree vibe. Everyone loved that one whole side of the wall was out which allowed an amazing breeze and for people to come and go off the patio. Deimante was the absolute best manager, she took care of us and made sure our schedule was kept. I would and have gone back to Ironside, and not because the drinks are absolutely delicious ;)

Got to visit Ironside Chicago for the first time after they got their new Executive Chef today. Ordered a variety of items on the menu and loved every bite! Service was great and Chef came to see how we were doing - nice touch. Wish I could share the pics here. My favorites were the wings and buffalo balls 😂! The fried Chicken Sandwich was ON! 100% will be back again!😋

My friends threw me a party at this place to celebrate my upcoming mastectomy. It was a big deal for me and my friends were amazing to do that for me and they picked Ironside for the venue. The staff there could not have been more awesome to us. They let us bring in decorations and cupcakes, all breast related. They were so attentive and even got in on the fun with some breast shaped food. It was a perfect night and Ironside really helped make it so. Can't recommend this place enough, especially if you're having an event.

The entrance is wheelchair accessible (and they tell you that online, which means they have thought about who might want to come); the room is well laid out. The tables are high; they say they can switch them out with low as needed. Did not check out the bathroom; basement is accessible only by stairs and changing that looks practically impossible due to architecture. The lighting is low and comfortable with natural light through a big window. Food was great, drinks were great, staff were great, owner talked to me personally about access and seemed willing to work with me but I was okay today so I didn't test it out. Personally, I had a really great time, and I fully intend to return. Usually when I go somewhere to eat or drink, I am going to eat or drink and I don't worry too much about the rest of it so long as I can manage the physical stuff, but this is a place I could enjoy hanging out. And that's honestly not something I'll say about a lot of places. I do intend to call ahead if I am ever inviting a wheelchair-using person or person of short stature because tables, but as much as I dislike phones, that is a tradeoff I can live with. Highly recommended.

Got the Jalapeño burger and a bucket of beers to watch the Patriots game. They had a live DJ spinning beats during commercial breaks and when the good guys (Pats) won, free shots on the House and a giant blast from their confetti cannon. Not only was the atmosphere & service great, but the food was awesome too! My jalapeño burger was the perfect amount of kick and suuuper flavorful. Well cooked meat, super awesome toppings (spicy homemade pickles), and fries that were crispy and salty. I’ll definitely be back again for another game. A+
