I really enjoyed this bar. Great atmosphere and physical space. Lively, yet not too crowded on the Friday before Christmas. Bar staff were friendly and really attentive which is always very much appreciated!

It's iconic in Wrigleyville lore for a reason. This is the quintessential neighborhood bar. The staff is friendly and attentive - no matter how busy it is. Atmosphere is low-key and the food is excellent. Can't recommend this place enough!

My absolute favorite bar in the city. As someone who is extremely picky about where he goes out to, Merkles checks all the boxes for me. Excellent atmosphere, reasonable prices, and just overall a great time.
its also not uncommon to see the very personable owner and management indulging on the Merkles fun.
Would give 6/5 if possible. but 5/5 will have to do :)

Always a favorite stop when in Wrigleyville. Food portions are large and fairly priced. Beer is always cold. Service was prompt and friendly. While I appreciate and love the dive/neighborhood bar feel - at some point, they really should fix the tables that are on permanent wobble and have you chasing your drink half the time while you are sitting there, lol! Iconic stop and glad it is still hanging in there with all of the competition around it!
UPDATE: GREAT NEWS ABOUT THE TABLES! CANT WAIT TO COME TRY THEM OUT! OH - AND ORDER THE TOTS, PEOPLE!

nice little pub - decent service, low key atmosphere (prior to end of Cubs game), minimal draft be selection. one review mentions craft beer - they do not really have that. they've got one of those big windows in the front that adds a nice breeze
