Wonderful care on the south side of Chicago. Friendly service, spacious, and warm vibe. At one table, a book club, another a tutoring session for a HS student, an active chess game at another, and much more. My brisket grilled cheese was fabulous. My daughter's south shore club as well. Closes at 3 PM on Saturday so check cafe times. My daughter does to school nearby. I'll visit Robust every time I visit her.

I've ordered the tuna melt and pecan roll before and had to get it again. I also decided to try something new, the Biscuit Bowl was amazing! Lots of flavor, the biscuit was fluffy, flaky, and flavorful. Gravy was so good too! I had no idea it would come in that kind of bowl but I loved it! It made it easier to get everything in one bite. This is a place you go to and have to try everything on the menu because it's just that good.

The green smoothie, banana bread French toast and build your own croissant sandwich with egg and bacon 🥓!! 😋 Yum. I was visiting from DC to spend time with family and my mom recommended we go to Robust. She shared how she appreciates the location - not quite in Hyde Park but not in the hood either. She lives in a food desert and said that she comes to this place when she needs a balanced meal. I’m thankful she has this place to go to! My husband and I enjoyed as well 💕 I wanted to try everything! Next time I’ll get a donut 😄

First time here and it will Not be my last ! This place is full of good food, good people and good vibes. They serve breakfast all day and that’s a winner for me. I had the Grits bowl and it was really different as well as really good. Never thought to pile everything in a bowl of grits . My Chi tea latte was great and hit the spot as the weather is cooling down some… I got a peak at how to play chess which was cool too. I would have given 5 stars but they could use some extra help with cleaning as the tables were dirty and too many of gnats joined in on my meeting 🤷🏽‍♀️
