Ameer Kabob Mediterranean Cuisine

Pretty good Afghan/Mediterranean food in the Russian Hill area. Definitely more pricey than I thought it should be given the portion size and type of restaurant. The food was pretty good, but nothing too amazing. I'm surprised at how raving the rest of the reviews are here, nothing stuck out here as much as I was expected. Oh well, maybe I ordered the wrong stuff. Definitely worth a second try in the future.

**OLD REVIEW** One of the best Arabic foods I had tried in Chicago land. Babaghanoosh was amazing and delicious. **UPDATE** Apparently they have now merged with Hummus Grill. The new restaurant also offers pretty damn good food. -The kefta was decent quality -The Chicken Kabob was pretty damn good and tender. - The Hummus taste very authentic and creamy - The Taboleh Salad also tasted authentic and home-made which is good... - Very clean resturant which is always a + - Unfortunately the portion size is nowhere close to what the OG Ameer kabob used to serve. In General the meal size was a bit smaller that what you would usually get at a Mediterranean restaurant when you order a mixed grill plate - The food is not quite like what I used to get at the OG location tbh... overall the food was tasty and FRESH.

I am confused is this place Ameer Kabob or Hummus Grill. I ordered this online when I arrived the name of the place was Hummus Grill. In any case, ordered 2 Falafel Wrap and baba ganoush. It was decent. I was put off by the confusing name and also the cashier making me repeat my name three times. What's that about?!

OMG!!!Quarantine showed me how much I’ve missed this amazing place and absolutely excellent food!!! Everything is always fresh and delicious. Reasonable prices. Usually I ordering the Chicken shawarma Special it’s my favorite!!! Love it so much!!! And last time wasn’t exception. Owner and staff doing really great job and thank you very much for that!!!! Keep on!!!Highly recommend!!!!
