Lago Wine Bar

While we had a nice time here over-all and enjoyed the food, we won't be back. They only have menu's that can be viewed on phones, which we don't normally bring with us when we go out to eat. The waiter was nice enough to let us use his phone, but it's pretty difficult to read an entire food, wine and drink list on a small iphone screen. We ordered cocktails, and per the waiter's request all of food at once. I requested that he not bring any food until we were done with our cocktails so that we could enjoy wine with our food. Unfortunately 2 sips into our cocktails the first course arrived. It was a cold dish, so I let it slide. 2 minutes later, with cold-dish untouched, hot food began to arrive. By the time we finished our drinks, ordered and then received wine and were ready to start eating, more food was already coming out so all 5 of the dishes we ordered for the of us were now on the small crowded table. All this despite the fact that we were told this would not happen. The waiter was still very friendly and attentive, & we enjoyed almost all of the food, but it's really unpleasant to be rushed like that. I'd go back to give it another try if they can fix the menu issue.

Figo Wine Bar is a gem. Beautiful, chill, classy and unpretentious. I visited with a group of friends last evening and Doug was the sweetest wine guy. I enjoyed the finding the perfect wine experience. Figo Wine Bar is THE WINE PLACE to have a wine experience AND a great time chilling with friends.

First time at Vigo Wine Bar, we were too late to order food but let me tell you I am so happy we decided to stay. The service we received from Marium was literally top-tier. She answered all of my questions and was super patient. You can definitely tell she’s happy to be here and to top it all off the drink was to die for. Everything smells so good so we will definitely be back to try the food and will be requesting to sit with Marium!!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Lakeview, a nice little hidden gem. Great place if you want to try some tapas, and wine or cocktails, and in the summer you can sit outside. Get the burrata, pork belly, fettuccine, and beef carpaccio. The sauce on the fettuccine was unreal and we ate it all very quickly. The servers will recommend 4-5 plates but I promise you will only need four. We also paired the meal with their Smoke on the Water mezcal drink, we each had four... Always a great meal when we come here and can't wait to be back.
