Mikkey's Retro Grill

I ordered the wings and a veggie burger. The wings were very good and the butter lemon pepper was tasty. However, the veggie burger was burnt, dry, and lacking condiments. I ordered it with cheese but it didn't have any on there. I tired to convince myself to just eat it but couldn't bring myself to take a single bite. I called to let them know how dissatisfied I was with the burger. The young lady that answered the phone was apologetic, understanding and patiently listened to my complaints. After my venting she asked how can they make it right. She had the cook remake another sandwich for me and she was sincerely kind and accommodating. Now the second sandwich was out of this world, crazy good, I'm talking I'm not sharing type good!!! It was Delicious!!! I wish all places were like this. Thank you!! Especially to the young lady at the counter, thank you, thank you, thank you. 🙂

The food is generally very good, and the employees friendly, but the waits are consistently long and they frequently get something wrong with the order. For instance, I just ordered and did a pickup, and 3 out of our 4 orders were wrong, including a sloppy avocado w no avocado! I called to let them know, nicely, but there was no apology and they said I needed to get a refund from chownow, their online order app--an extra hassle I don't appreciate.

I've tried their turkey burger w/ bacon, salmon burger and recently the Beyond burger. ALL delicious! Ask them to jerk your burger and/or fries, that's tasty too. I do question their "vegan" shakes. I think they are made with almond milk and you can get non-dairy whip cream as a topping. However, i think they use regular ice cream which defeats the whole meaning of a "vegan" shake. Get clarity on that if you don't do dairy.
