We like to call Hotel Montreal our "local" as we live nearby. The food is "always" of incredibly high standard & the service is some of the best you will experience anywhere in our city. We arrived for Mother's Day lunch today to be greeted by the young lady behind the desk.... She saw us arriving & immediately got up & opened the door with such a very warm welcome & she went out of her way to make our elderly friend comfortable. The food was delicious & the staff made my friend & my Mother's Day perfect! Thank you Hotel Montreal.

New owners last year. A wonderful lunch ! Imaginative, well cooked, and a great mix of flavours. And a very interesting wine list. A great place for a leisurly meal. Freindly, unobtrusive service, and great fit-out.

The tapas menu is very affordable and I really like the lamb flatbread!! As well as the crispy fried chicken! Would definitely come back

We had an exceptional meal and struggled to make a choice from the exquisite menu. 11/10 was our rating for the chef. The young lady attending to us was a delight. We were very impressed with the quality of the selection of wines on offer, it is often notable that restaurants stock the cheaper wines from the large producers or whatever is flavour of the month or on special with the wine reps. Always a mark of a fine establishment when the wines reflect the outstanding culinary skills of the chef, so bravo Polo Restaurant, straight to the top of the class ad preferred restaurant choice in Christchurch for me.
