Redlands Grill By J. Alexander's

The ambiance is beautiful here at J. Alexander’s. It smells a little smoky from the cooking, which was a nice touch I thought. The menu had good options, and I was struggling to pick between a few of them. I got the Filet Mignon, and asked for it medium but with no red. Unfortunately it did come out with a VERY red center but the staff quickly re-fired that for me and it was perfect. The potato that came with it was was huge, and good. I’d suggest a little more butter to add a bit more moisture but overall it was good! My husband was very happy with his chicken and smashed potatoes. We got the chocolate cake as well, and the cake itself was very thick, but it wasn’t really sweet. I wasn’t a fan of it by itself, but with the ice cream it was better. “It feels like I sucked on a spoon of peanut butter.” -my husband. Good moisture, just needed a bit.. more. We would come back here, and we would try more options :)

Nice atmosphere. Greeted upon entrance. Our waiter, Matt, was GREAT (thanks, again!). Our appetizer was absolutely delicious (queso) & fresh. In a party of 4, only 1 (myself 🤦🏽‍♀️) rates below 5 stars (3.85). Loaded potato was not hot, nor warm and I didn’t like the tortilla shell for the fish tacos. I did nibble in others’ dishes and they were splendid! I felt the restroom could’ve used some clean up and use some fragrance during my visit. All in all, I’ll return and ask for Matt.

This was my first experience here. I wanted to find a nice steakhouse house, and this place does not disappoint. The atmosphere here is upscale and classy, the same as capital grill or Mortens but just under those proce points. My server Regan was very attentive a d made sure we lacked for nothing. The old fashioned with the substitution for makers mark is second to none (trust me!) The filet had a nice sear and the sides were a nice compliment ( however I would suggest sauté the broccoli with garlic butter). I normally don't enjoy a dessert with my meal however, do yourself a favor and try the chocolate cake with ice cream. I travel to Cincinnati at least twice a month and I will definitely return!

It is a bit loud in there. But it is nice and spacious. It was my first time at this restaurant. Still can't wait to go back. Only thing is I wish they were more creative with there drinks. I just didn't get that wow factor. Especially where there was no visual advertisement of the drinks they offered. However the food and portions were amazing! Our waitress Regan was the best!!! I asked if I could get a Long Island Ice tea which was not on the menu. Shea made me one and it was delicious!

First time dining here. Presents an intimate atmosphere but was louder than the setting suggests. When I called for reservations was told the wait was 20-25 minutes. When we arrived 45 minutes later the crowd had subsided. The specialty cocktail had to be sent back for more ice but the wood-fired artichoke app was decent. The prime rib and smashed potatoes main was our reason to eat there and it didn't disappoint. Wait staff were friendly and efficient.

I am always happy get over to J Alexander's restaurant for a great meal. This is a place I can recommend to everyone. So many selections to choose from. You'll be guaranteed to get top quality food, service, and reasonable pricing. Even though the pricing is on the higher end the quality and service makes up for it it is worth it. I will post a few pictures just to show the things that I enjoy but my favorite that you have to save room for is the carrot cake as dessert. Definitely a place that I can recommend to all my friends family and followers to go to if they are in the area. This is an easy 5/5 star review.
