The food is great, hands down some of the best chillie dogs i have had in a while as well as a mind blowong geoatta, egg and cheese sandwich. Very friendly staff and quick service. Food was ready almost as soon as the order was put in and even though I drink really fast (went through 4 cups of iced tea in like 20 minutes) I don't think my glass was empty for a full minute the whole time I was there.

Pretty much the best place in Madeira for a quick breakfast or lunch. Usually has that day's newspaper and coffee is pretty decent. Great place for easy going/low maintenance ppl who want to pay a fair price and get treated like they matter. If you like feeling welcomed and can contribute to making others feel welcomed then this might be the place for you! Pay it forward and keep JK a staple for Madeira!

Lived in town over a year, mere blocks away from JK's and just tried it a couple weeks ago - I've been back twice. Very Very Good Food - and the service is better than you'd expect from what some would call a "Greasy Spoon".
More than an adequate menu selection - and the prices aren't all that bad either.
