Nora's Filipino Market

Nora's Filipino Market is an authentic Filipino Market close to Gate 1 on Ft. Campbell Blvd in Clarksville Tennessee. If you are not of the Filipino culture, it can be a little daunting navigating the products and the store in Nora's. There are fresh food offerings at Nora's that look very appealing. Despite not know what I was looking at or looking for, the people working at Nora's were very friendly and helpful. There is not a huge offering of products at Nora's Filipino Market, but I don't know where you will find more authentic products or nicer people.

Having lived in the Philippines for three years I will travel far & wide for any chance to enjoy true Filipino Foods. Nora’s Filipino Market & Restaurant is about 90 minutes from me…so I was hopeful for a great meal. This place is more market than restaurant and offers a quasi-buffet they serve you from. I decided on the Chicken Adobo with white (sticky) rice and some Lumpia. The Chicken Adobo was flavorful, the dark-meat chicken was tender and juicy, and the rice was complimented by the juice from the Adobo. Overall…very good Adobo. The Lumpia…it was just OK. Not too much flavor, kinda mushy inside while crispy outside, and not packed very tightly. While I did not partake…the Pancit Bihon looked really along with the other dishes available. The other folks eating at a “group table” seemed to enjoy their selections and were extremely friendly and talked with me. One of the many wonderful things I miss about the Philippines…the wonderful people. I probably won’t make a special drive, but if I am coming through Clarksville I sure will stop and enjoy a meal here.

One of the workers here added me randomly on Snapchat. They said they didn't. Had a small conversation about nothing, like they were married and worked in fastfood. They said they were going to bed and 30 minutes later they ask me if I know of this place because they work here. Then asked me to come in and see then them next day and have some Boba Tea. I save all my snap condos and they asked me to stop saving them. Something about the whole interaction just felt gross by the end, like it was some weird way to get new people into their business. I will not come here because of this interaction.

Horrible service from the new lady that was there! They don’t really care about what you need. They seem to be annoyed if you ask questions. They are just in rush to check you out because they have to run to the back to prep food. The fact that they’re always rushing, I saw that they are not very sanitary from the way they move back and forth from the cash register to the back to cook/prepare the foods. They don’t wear gloves when they prepare foods as they also touches people’s money and debit cards at the register. Even though some food looks good, they are contaminated from the way they operate. There are other great Filipino catering on Facebook nearby that are way better than this. Don’t bother coming to this place.
