Lamorenita Mexican Restaurant

I am originally from California and this place is the first Mexican food restaurant that I actually liked since I've been here in Georgia. The food was flavorful the prices were reasonable and the customer service was great. I am definitely bringing my kids back here to eat. I would recommend it to anybody who asks

In a town with too many Mexican restaurants, La Morenita stands well above its competitors. Don’t let the appearance fool you. The best street tacos in town, and stiff but delicious drinks make for a great experience. For those that are adventurous, they also have an excellent assortment of Latin American themed seafood dishes.

Our family went and had a mostly wonderful meal - it was certainly the most authentic we have seen in Auburn so far. The Carnitas plate and the sopes were incredibly good - I will crave the sopes!! We will order those again and again. The drinks were average - the margs and fruit punch were a tad too sweet for us. Wife had a burrito of the day: it was cheap but would not do it again - was almost all filler of rice and tortilla. Salsa bar was excellent - something for everyone on the bar. They were so close to a five star, but just a few too many misses.

Man if you haven't tried this place out. You are truly missing out. They maybe small,but the food alone is worth being in there. The servers are super nice and explains everything on their menu. Salsa alone is worth the sit down. I've tried several places in auburn and this by far is the best to me. Dont believe me. Go try for yourself.
