Mitchell's Ice Cream

4.3 stars. Bit of a wait, but the team did their best to get things moving smoothly. Prices are about standard for homemade ice cream. A pint ($6.95) will run you $0.40 more than a double which might be the way to go if you're getting one flavor only but wanting more than a scoop. Many flavors to choose from along with seasonal flavors too. Best part, however, is the ability to watch the ice cream being made by the operations team behind the giant viewing windows.

Fun location where you can watch the ice cream be made. Ice cream, sorbets, and yogurt are always super high quality. I also appreciate their variety. I'm lactose intolerant but can get the sorbet or the vegan ice creams. Portions are very generous. Clean shop. Not a fan of their queueing system with bars that sometimes means shuffling past people. This location also has drinks and sundae fixings for sale.

Let me tell you, their ice cream is truly among the finest I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting. Today, I had the pleasure of trying three flavors: banana cream pie, toasted pistachio, and black raspberry chocolate chunk. Each bite was a delight to the senses. The location itself is housed in an old renovated movie theater, which adds a unique touch to the experience. As you make your choice, you can actually observe the ice cream being skillfully crafted and carefully packaged through the glass wall. The seating options are quite versatile, with both indoor and outdoor spaces available. They even offer seating on the second floor, providing a lovely vantage point. The staff at Mitchell’s Ice Cream are friendly and approachable, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I was also pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of their service – quick and seamless. All in all, my visit to Mitchell’s Ice Cream was an absolute treat. The combination of exceptional flavors, charming ambiance, and attentive service makes it a top-notch destination for any ice cream aficionado.

After our dinner, we walked a few doors down to this really cool looking ice cream spot with outdoor seating, and a patio. We walked in, lots of flavors and a great vibe plus there was a train on the track running around the ceiling that kept my little guy’s attention! My wife got a tasty milkshake, and the boys made a mess with their yummy ice cream and it was a perfect ending to a wonderful day touring Cleveland! Highly recommend!
