El Jalapenos

All food was freshly prepared and hot. ordered 2 chicken and 2 pork tamales, the appetizer chicken quesadilla, side of rice (should have got 2) & 6 wings. It came with chips salsa and sour cream and the best queso sauce I’ve ever had. Spent $36 dollars for 2 people and have 2 meals left. At 9$ a person I will definitely be back. Quite possibly the most flavorful authentic Mexican meal I’ve had. This place is a solid 5 stars.

I have been to El Jalapeño a few times recently and it conjures up memories of the Mexican restaurants I remember in the 1980s, before Latin food exploded on the scene. The restaurant is full of murals of rustic rural life in Mexico and are enjoyable to look at. There is seating for larger groups. The menu is big, and it is reasonably priced with daily lunch and dinner specials. The food is good, but not memorable; although, the salsa they serve with the chips was very good.

Today was my first visit, but it will not be my last! What a great dining experience. The service was excellent. My food was hot, and the flavor was truly authentic. I loved the music and decor, which added ambiance to the atmosphere and experience. I highly recommend El Jalapeños if you love and enjoy authentic Mexican food.

I've been looking for some good authentic Mexican in the Cleveland area for a while and I think I've found a contender. I decided on the Speedy Gonzalez lunch special that includes a taco, enchilada, beans and Mexican rice. I ordered it with chicken and you can definitely tell the meat is marinated and juicy. My wife ordered the fajita salad and all I can say is it looked amazing! I was very happy to find a place that gives you the right flavors and gigs service. The portions are BIG so you won't leave here hungry, at all. Overall, this is our new goto place for Mexican.
