Shay's

My fiance and I were in Cleveland for the Browns game and woke up early Sunday. Most places near us were either closed or too fancy, and then we found Shay’s. This is your typical little breakfast joint. The service here was great! The woman who served our table was extremely kind and efficient. She was talking to her other guests by name so you can tell she knows her regulars. She made sure we were good to go throughout our meal and really boosted the atmosphere. The food could use a little salt and pepper but it’s also nice that it’s not overly seasoned so you can season it yourself to your liking. We were able to sit immediately and the food came out so fast. We both very much enjoyed our breakfast and time here and will be returning when we need a breakfast spot in Cleveland! The only thing is it could be a little cleaner. We sat near the window and the blinds were pretty dirty. So a deep cleaning couldn’t hurt. BUT the booth, seats, forks, cups, and plates were clean and I don’t eat off the blinds so whatever. Definitely recommend this place for many reasons! We’re looking forward to returning.

I had a fantastic experience at Shay's in Cleveland near Chinatown. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our business meeting, ensuring we had a comfortable space to plug in our laptops. The breakfast options were not only delicious but also varied, catering to different tastes. The service was impeccable, making our business discussions even more enjoyable. Shay's is a standout choice for a delightful breakfast experience in Cleveland.

Finally stopped in after passing them up for 10 years lol. I'm a early bird, and I finally found a place that open at 5am. Its like a neighborhood diner. There breakfast is decent and you can order other foods in the morning too. Waitress is super nice too! Highly recommended! I'm going back for a cheeseburger for lunch lol.

Speed kills... and I was hungry and the food came out quickly. And I was with a party of 8 I had pancakes..eggs..homefries and beef sausage. Now for me the beef sausage was dry I didn't like it but everything else was great... we had a variety of food and over all my party enjoyed it all... Next time I visit Cleveland I will be back

It maybe a hole in the wall, but has steady traffic and stayed busy. Though even though it was busy, the food came out in under 10 minutes. The staff is super friendly and ensuring that the food taste good. It cost $23 for the two of us. The food was very filling and just as delicious. I would highly recommend this spot if you can get past the interior, because it’s worth sitting down and enjoying the food.

Shays Restaurant is a treasure of Cleveland. The food is great and the portions are better. It's amazing comfort food made just the way you like..The breakfast is my favorite but they also make great burgers! Along the wall you see authentic signs that have been around since they've opened which makes it more wonderful. The servers are friendly and the owner comes around to make sure everyone is enjoying their visit. Shay' s is definitely a favorite a mine and I will always be back!
