Mr Hero

Mr. Hero (May 7, 2023) One of the perks of traveling to visit new places is to explore foods in the area. I have this quirk that I always try to find food chains not available in the Seattle area. Mr. Hero was one of these places that serves Cleveland. Why Mr. Hero? The chain serves cheesesteaks and gyros sandwiches, something I am not able to find easily in my area. This location was the closest to my Airbnb and had some specials that I wanted to exploit. Location was in a smallish strip mall area, and it was pretty clean overall. Time of visit was around mid afternoon after a morning visit to the Great Lakes Science Center in the morning on a Sunday. The staff there were pretty efficient. Two sandwiches were ordered for takeout. The first was a Gyro sandwich, and the other was the Sicilian Parmesan Cheesesteak. I ate the cheesesteak right after I returned to the Airbnb, and it was good even when it was cold. One slight downside was the lack of vegetables (only mushrooms), but the meats in the sandwich (Steak, grilled sausage & pepperoni) made it such a unique and tasty sandwich that I can still taste it one week later. I wanted to return the next day to get extras to bring back to Seattle areas but unfortunately that did not work out. The Gyro sandwich was unfortunately disappointing. I should have ordered the chain's famous Romanburger instead. Well, there will be a future opportunity to try that out. Overall, that Sicilian Parmesan Cheesesteak deserves a tryout for anyone interested in a good hearty sandwich. Highly rated. Happy Eating !!!!
