Steak 'n Shake

This is is first time I have eaten inside this location since moving to Cleveland. I was unaware that orders are now taken at the register but the staff was very kind and explained their new process to me. My food was excellent but what stuck out to me the most was that their managers were working front and center with their employees. A manager took my order, refilled my drink, and provided me with a bag for my leftovers. They were all more than pleasant and very cheerful. I applaud this location and their managers for working alongside the employees so that they were not overloaded. I was so impressed that as soon as I returned to my car I immediately pulled up Google to leave this review. Thank you for the wonderful food and service, I will most definitely return!

I remember when this business opened. I was so glad that they opened here in this town. This Restaurant is always clean and the bathrooms too. And the employees are friendly. The food is always fresh and always hot when it gets to the table. The servings and the price is always fair. You got to have a famous shake to drink there or carry out.

Not the employees fault, this goes on corporate. What was once a very prominent and proud restaurant chain has purposely tanked or has been hostile taken over. The Pandemic is over. Like it or not its gone but you would think your back in Spring 2020 at Steak n Shake. You can dine in but you get NO SERVICE. Order at counter pick up at counter carry to your table. Plastic utensils, Styrofoam cups. All condiments in tiny packs. The only conclusion I can come to is this has to be a deliberate nose dive into chapter 13. Very Sad. Ownership should be ashamed. This is at all locations that I know of. I have visited what used to be a treat to me for the last time, I'm sure I'm not alone.

They are never open. They keep updating their online hours and saying they are back to being open until midnight. But on 5/17/22 they were closed prior to 8pm. Guys... we are past being short employees due to Covid and stimulus checks. If you can not keep normal hours by now then there is something wrong with how you manager your business. Get it together.

My experience here was beyond unacceptable. I placed my order through the drive thru. There was one customer in front of me waiting on their order. I waited 20 minutes which is crazy! I finally got out of line and went inside. I asked the employee why the car in front of me wasn't asked to pull forward. The manager knew I was angry. She was rude to me and very unprofessional. I will never go back!!

Great strawberry shake and love their burgers! Those shoestring fries are good, too. But whoever the lady was that served through the drivethrough on Friday night, Feb. 11th 2022 deserves a raise or a bonus or something. She was so awesome even though the lines was massive bc of a wreck. Thank you for being wonderful!!
