Basil & Barley Pizzeria Napoletana

If you enjoy tasty drink selections from the bar, aromatic Italian dishes that taste delicious, and pizza that seriously contends with the best in town, give B&B pizzeria a try. We got the meatball appetizer, the Vesuvio pizza, and a pale blue cocktail and everything was outstanding. The price was very reasonable for both the portion sizes and the quality of the food. We will definitely return to explore other menu options.

It was my first time at Basil & Barley. I highly recommend! Spectacular view off the back patio. Clean and nice layout. Amazing salads. Excellent seasonal beer list. Decent wine selection. I really appreciated the gluten-free pizza options. Others ordered the regular pizza crust. They thought it was great! This is a solid pizzeria restaurant.

We've been here several times and been amazed each time. Recently went to a well reviewed, historic pizzeria in Boston but not even they could compete with Basil & Barley. Each pizza we've tried here has been great. Can't even pick a favorite because we love them all. The charcoal crust is special...you have to love it because of the beautiful color. I don't want this place to get so busy that the wait times increase, but I can't help leaving a glowing review.

While visiting Denver for work, we made a point to include Basil & Barley in our downtime activities. This was our 2nd time visiting, and it definitely did not disappoint. Thank you, Angelina, for putting up with our crazy group of 9 first thing after opening. We love Basil & Barley for the fresh ingredients, delicious charcoal pizza, and great service! We look forward to visiting again.

A Saturday evening with my wife before the crowds arrived. And they did. I ordered Macellaio (The Butcher) - Margherita pizza with mild soppressata & Italian sausage. Delish!! My wife ordered the Parma. Charcoal dough. Red cabbage base, Fior di Latte mozzarella, parmigiano reggiano, Prosciutto di Parma, pecorino romano, caramelized borettane onions and figs topped after cooking with fresh spinach and arugula mix, Prosciutto di Parma, and burrata, shaved pecorino romano, and local honey. She only substituted cabbage base with tomato sauce. Truly divine. Layers upon layers of flavor. With all those ingredients she missed the burrata which was the star of the show. I'm getting the Parma next time. Arguably one of the best pizzas I've ever had.

I’m definitely a sucker for Neapolitan style pizza. Basil and Barley is one of my favorites in town. One of the things I really like about this place is the menu isn’t traditional. Even their version of pepperoni is different, but in a good way. Instead of the same old toppings you get at most pizza places, here you get to experience new flavors. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is great! I highly recommend you give them a try, you’ll be glad you did.

Good food, cold beer, awesome atmosphere -- can't ask for more than that! Oh, and as a bonus, the owners happen to be super friendly and are intimately involved with their business (you will most likely meet them). Also, post-card quality Rocky Mountain sunset moments (absolutely gorgeous!) can be had from the outdoor deck area. You won't regret visiting!
