El Rey Del Taco #2

Decent place. Food was good and portions were plenty. House margaritas were satisfying. Service was friendly and prompt. Reasonable prices. Only thing I would change... the lighting in that place. Visited at night and they have cool light, almost felt like florescent light, doesn't go well with the Mexican decor and it made out eyes sore. Oh and here's their drink menu.

100% the best Tex Mex in the springs. We’ve tried plenty while out here and been disappointed by something each time. The salsa is perfect with multiple spice options for those that want heat. Chili replenish was the perfect size and had a green chili sauce that competes with the best of them. The biggest surprise for us though was the molcajete. It was huge, and had the best flavor we’ve tasted in one so far. The rice and beans were mid but it doesn’t detract from everything else being flavored perfectly. I’m done testing new places this is the spot.

This place is amazing! From the beautiful carved art in the furniture to the service and of course the delicious food. The salsa bar was great. And I ordered the birria tacos with a side of rice and beans and let me tell you, I have not been as satisfied with a meal than this in a while. Everything about the food was perfect.

We are vacationing in the area. El Rey was recommended from some local friends. This is a hole in the wall place but decorated nicely. We had some tacos that came with broth to dip in. Very good. Shells were a bit over fried. Chile Relleno was good. They do have a salsa bar - it was good but could of used some cilantro. Also could use some little bowls instead of the tiny plastic cups. Food was very good and very authentic. Edwardo was great at serving. Smiled the whole time and was very patient with us ordering. Totally recommend it. Not on the tourist path!
