It just does not get any better than this for fish, chips, and shrimp on a fixed budget. And Wednesday has a great Senior Day special menu too. This Captain D's #205837 on E. Fillmore is always clean, sanitary and has a staff that excels at great customer service, 5 Thumbs Up! Food is made to order, hot, and delicious. The Manager here is old school and sure knows how to keep customers happy and returning.

Decided to eat here for a late lunch, craving seafood and wow, great place! We ordered the fried crispy fish and the seafood platter, and it was so delicious, and our toddler was obsessed with the corn. Sweet tea was on point, and I had to get an extra refill for the road. Nice, quiet environment with great tunes, and the man who gave us our food was super nice and friendly! The food was already a 10/10 but our interaction with him pushed it over to a 15/10, would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!

My Mom and I have been searching for a decent seafood place that's decently priced since most of the Long John Silver's places have evaporated. I see Captain D's as that place! Everything about this place was great, sure the dining area could use a theme and an update! but if you are looking for some good food (especially the fish), this is the place! They treated us like we were the only souls alive in their care, and that is rare nowadays! I noticed like another reviewer had said that it was mostly us older people in there, and he is right. My older crowd is looking for the same thing. We are the Baby Boomer generation, and there are a lot more of us out there than any other generation, and if you cater to us like this Captain D's on Fillmore, you will thrive. Today I stop by and got my usual blackened salmon with rice, green beans, mac and cheese, yet, I also added in a lobster roll. I was greatly surprised by the flavor and the roll itself was nice, soft, not hard like those types of rolls are. Of course Jason and his crew did an awesome job. They are always friendly, upbeat, outgoing, very patient with everybody. They genuinely do enjoy seeing people visiting at the restaurant and having a tasty, pleasant meal. Highly recommend Captain D's on Fillmore by Hancock.

I came into the store to buy a take out lunch. The young lady working that day was friendly, and professional. I was impressed as the store became busy, with how the young lady never lost her joyful outlook and gave time to each customer to make each one of us feel valued, yet she was efficient with her time so no one had to wait longer than necessary. In addition, my order was correct and the food was delicious. I will be back!

Kinda funny how they're obviously catering to a very specific demographic (oldies music from the 50's and 60's and everyone else here was twice my age) this is an excellent spot for quick and cheap fish n chips. The staff is genuinely friendly and provides great service. I stop here every time I'm in this part of town and never disappointed. Oh and the D's Dipping Sauce is to die for.
