Hubby and I drove all the way across town to try this place for our date night. We’ve been looking for a good Mediterranean place and this is the best we’ve ever had! By far the best in the Springs! Everything was delicious! I loved the dolmas and the chai tea was very different but soooo good! Their service was exceptional! The owner’s wife was so sweet and was happy to answer all of our questions. We will for sure be back!

We have been craving a good Mediterranean place since moving here years ago. This is it. Best rice I’ve ever had. We got the Shwarma Platter. The Dolmas and Pickled Turnips were great. And I’m not typically a greens eater. Pita was on point. And the meat was great. Everything was great here. Can not recommend highly enough.

Best Middle Eastern food I have ever found in Colorado Springs. All of the food is made and prepared fresh by an Iraqi native. Great service from the staff and the chef was more then happy to come talk to us. The shawarma had my mouth watering non stop and the cucumber yogurt dip was fantastic. Talk about delicious food. Also children friendly.

This place is fantastic, you can tell the food is fresh made. I'm glad to have a good Middle Eastern place in this area. Service was extremely friendly and the food was very delicious! I'll be coming back!

Fantastic authentic food using local and never frozen ingredients! The owner, Safaa, was very friendly and provided great customer service. The tea and Turkish coffee were both brewed fresh for us. The best part of the restaurant though was of course, the food! Using his family’s traditional recipes, Safaa created some of the most aromatic and flavorful chicken and beef shawarmas. The vegetables were all hand-pickled as well and paired greatly with the slow roasted meat. We will definitely return again!

The food was amazing. The falafel were by far my favorite but everything tasted delicious. The owner is friendly and made our first experience even more enjoyable. I definitely recommend this place. My family and I will be returning.

Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food are my favourites and The Gate of Babylon is now on my list of favorites. The restaurant staff is very welcoming and personable. The food is delicious. I am planning to return very soon and often.
My fianceé got the Beef Shawarma Platter. She really liked it and I tried some as well. Fantastic. I had the Lamb Kebob Platter, which was absolutely delicious. We both left with sore stomachs because we just couldn't stop eating. It was a crime to leave anything on the plate.

Paul aka Safaa the owner is awesome! This business is just starting up but it's potential is beautiful in my eyes. The food is made fresh 👌 not to mention you can ask for samples. Very friendly and feel good place to eat. And the food; phenomenal! I'm bias though the Dessert is always my favorite dish! Baklava and the Beef Shawarma wrap; you won't go wrong. Fresh, healthy eats, at a good price, for a short wait. Come in and support these kind people.✌️
