The Mac and cheese is really liquidy. When I mentioned it, the manager ​said he doesn't know what to tell me because it came like this from the plant. My boyfriend's mac and cheese has no liquid. I don't usually publicly complain about bad food when I'm eating out. It's the bad customer service for me. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I asked the manager for fried okra instead. He said ok, but didn't put my order in. I asked the cashier instead, but it came as we were leaving. Not only is their customer service terrible and the food is bad, but the manager also locked everyone in the dining room an hour before closing. I'm pretty sure that's against fire code.

So very disappointing! Wow! Been wanting to try this since I saw it on Food Network. Loved that the owner stuck up for his rights to display history! However, severely not happy with the food. Everything, and I actually mean 90% of what we ordered was slathered, coated or mixed with a mustard sauce. It was insane. We paid $70 for two plates and a gallon of sweet tea and two slices of pie! I tried everything. I disliked literally all of it! Even the pie was still frozen. Look, I love BBQ. I also understand that different regions have different flavors however, maybe an option of sauce would be good. We were'nt asked about an option. And, mustard. Wow! Too much! I couldn't even taste the meat or smoke! The only exceptions were the brisket. No sauce. Not as tender as I'd have liked but, not bad. The burnt ends didn't have mustard either but, they were also drenched in a sauce. We also ordered the pork hash. Mustard. The pinto beans. Mustard. Pulled pork. Mustard. And the Mac and cheese. No mustard but, grainy... I've had way better at Popeyes. So in conclusion, if you like mustard, Maurices is for you. If not, steer clear. You WILL be disappointed.

The employees at this location are very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent, overall. I liked the brisket sandwiches better when they sliced the meat thin, but still pretty good. In my opinion ribs are what Maurice's does best, it's really hard to find a better rib if you get a good batch. The wings are fantastic. Love the sweet potato fries (tip, say yes to the cinnamon sugar and dip them in apple butter). The macaroni is kind of weird, honestly. Only serious complaint is the prices. I've eaten entrees prepared by chefs that have tv shows that cost less than a chicken and rib dinner. But sometimes nothing else will do.

Worst experience ever! We visited the Oneil Street restaurant off 2 Notch Rd. We ordered carry out. We were overcharged for our food. The price on the kiosk is different from what we were charged. We were cheated out of part of our order. We were cheated out of the proper portions for the cost. We contacted the restaurant. We were told we received everything. I said I can send a picture of what we received. We spent $37.03 for: pulled chicken, 5 smoked wings, 1oz baked beans, and 3oz Cole slaw (delicious food) 2nd order- pulled chicken, 5 smoked wings, French fries, and 1oz baked beans. So, practically $40 for 10 wings and 4 sides. Actually, it was $40 because we told the young man to keep the change. The manager, after back and forth, asked us to return to the restaurant for the missing items. I explained because we did drive through, someone should have checked and double checked. Then, he offered to have us to come again and make it right, but he never asked for out information to send a certificate/card to use at another time. He disconnected the call and that ended our conversation. I will not return to this restaurant or any in its chain. Take your chances. I will not.
