Nostalgia Shop

After reading the many reviews... Most of which were not very favorable, my experience at the Nostalgia was ok. The selection of cigars was vast but strange to find the dust all over the humidor. It was nice to be able to order a drink while smoking a reasonably priced Camacho mild stick. I assume the tall and lanky gentlemen was George. I didn't have any bad experience with him other than not being very friendly. Good thing I came to smoke and have a drink!

Unbelievably surreal experience! I was in the mood to relax and enjoy a nice cigar in the lounge. So I walked in and the owner asked if he could help me, and I said I would like to browse the humidor for a cigar. So he unlocked the humidor and let me in, and walked in behind me and watched me as I looked. I pulled out my phone to help me research a good cigar, and he launched into a tirade about not having time for someone who is going to research prices online and find a cigar cheaper elsewhere. I told him I was trying to find a cigar to enjoy in HIS lounge! He said that was fine, but he didn’t have all day to wait on me! I was flabbergasted! Does this guy actually WANT customers? At that point, I told him it was clear he was not interested in my business and I walked out. After I got into my vehicle, he got into his car and pulled up behind mine, and took a picture of my license plate. Then he backed into his parking space and waited for me to drive by so he could flash me an evil grin with a stogie sticking out of his mouth....an attempt to intimidate me I guess. Very strange.

Might be the worst cigar/bourbon store I've ever been too. The owner always rushes you out the door. He and his wife are not a fan of you browsing. She followed me around the whole store. The owner also said he's going to have an auction next week to get rid of some stock. I went twice because I thought maybe first bad experience was a one off. Nope. He's been telling that same story about an "auction" to me and others I know that went months ago. Don't waste your time. (They do have 3 bottle of EHT Rye in a box on the floor if you want to spend 200 a bottle. Lol)

The shop is decent. Although I felt rushed out when trying to look around to make a purchase because I didn't know exactly what I was looking for. If you don't know what you want. Be prepared to not be allowed to look. Everything is really pricey too. I'm just now getting serious about getting into the culture of cigars. So it kinda sucked to be rushed out. But who knows. Maybe the owner was having a off day.

I visited on 4/24/21, the man running the cigar lounge had the doors all locked( understandable), he also followed me into the humidor and rushed me through repeatedly asking what I was looking for, while I was looking around I noticed that there is a moss/mold/Gunk in the humidifier and the same gunk around the floors. All the while he was smoking a cigar in the humidor . There seem to be some decent cigars a little high price though, but seeing what I did I don't think I would recommend buying here unless it was deep cleaned

I’ve been to cigar shops throughout the US and Caribbean, and I’ve never been followed into a humidor and watched. The selection was vast, but I didn’t feel like I could adequately appreciate it. All cigars have a white dust on them, which I think is lime residue from the area’s hard water—it would be much better if he’d use distilled water in his humidifier. To avoid the dust issue, I selected a few cello-wrapped cigars that were priced (many cigars/boxes were not). The bill came to about 30% more than it should have (I think the owner “rounded” up to the nearest $10, disregarding the marked price). I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to make a scene— I was ready to leave. He only seemed to warm up when I handed him a fairly prestigious credit card for payment. I am a huge supporter of local businesses, but this one made it clear that I’m not needed as a loyal customer, so I’ll go elsewhere.

Terrible customer service. Would not sell any bottles, saying he was going to auction everything rather than sell them in store even though they had price tags. Once he knew I was interested in bourbon he would not even let me into the humidor to look for a cigar to buy claiming I just wanted to go in so I could look at the bourbon he wouldn’t sell. As I was walking out he said he would sell me a bottle he had out and multiples of(usually costs $60) for $199. Rude, pretentious, and dirty.
