My sister and i went on a Wednesday at about 5. No one else was there, by the end we were saddened by that. After the owner told us they had been there 13 years we figured they knew it was their slow day. Anyway. She ordered the special plate with a bit of everything (of which she took more than half home) while I ordered camarones diablo (easy translation is devilishly hot shrimp) which definitely was hot but super tasty. We ordered a guac side. Very freshly made and wonderful. The refried beans HAD to be made in-house due to the fact that some whole beans were still there. (I make my own and can never get it nearly as smooth as most Mexican restaurants I have been to.) I also ordered 1 tamale which was excellent. The chile relleno my sis had was much better than any around, though I'm still not a fan. In short, yes I know it's too late for that, I love this place. Everything was just made while we waited and the medium margarita was immense. We will be back to try more. Excellent prices and a ton of food!

After vacationing in Mexico in 2016, I have been on a quest to find Mexican food as delicious and authentic as we had in Cozumel. La Mesa is definitely the front runner at this point! Delicious!

Great Food!!! Best in Lake County!!! Family owned restaurant where the food is made fresh by the family. Margaritas are very tasty. This has become a regular place for my family.

Excellent food, great prices, very fast and friendly service. Tons of delicious vegetarian options that are more than just rice/beans/cheese. A weekend dinner favorite, I can't recommend them enough!

The food was incredible, the owners (assumably) were extremely polite. Service was quick and correct. Best prices I’ve experienced. Literally the beat Mexican Restaurant I’ve been to.

This place is awesome! Amazing food, awesome staff, they have some guy come in to play live music (Music Rick?) and it’s enjoyable. Their salsa is really good and the portions are much larger then what I’ve come to expect from other local restaurants. We found our new go to.

Very good home made Mexican food. Not too spicy and not over salted. Lots of choices from the menu. Prices were great for the portions served. I would definitely return.

The food was fantastic. Talkes with the owner for a bit. Service was great. The wait staff came back to our table several times to check mon us without being pushy. Ordered our food and in less than 10 minutes we had it. Chips and salsa came out warm. I will be going back! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good Mexican food!

One of the newer Mexican restaurants in the area of which we have many to choose from. The food quality was pretty much the same as the rest, my tamales were on the dry side.
Decent salsa and chips with free refills.
A little difficult to find from the highway burried in the shopping center.

Very friendly place. The food, I had burritos, was very good. The staff was attentive, our food arrived quicky and very hot! My g-grandson ate his taco so fast I was amazed! We will eat there again.
